Unicorn Valencia 2016 faults
Has anyone else experience of ongoing problems with new Bailey caravans?
Ours was bought in 2016 and has been back and forth to the dealer numerous times for fixes of faults which I consider to be shoddy workmanship,the worst being leaking roof (known fault apparently!)
It is now back in again because on our last trip one of the front body panels became loose.

It’s an ongoing problem as you say sanmar but not just with Baileys. All makes suffer the ‘Friday afternoon ‘ van. Having said that, I am just about to trade my 2011 Bailey Unicorn Valencia for a Coachman 575. If the Coachman is as good as the Bailey has been I’ll be a very happy man. I tend to get on with jobs around the van if something comes loose or drops off or whatever. It’s damned annoying putting other people’s shoddy workmanship right but it seems to be the way things are going. If only we could organise ourselves and refuse to buy another caravan unless they are properly manufactured to spec things would change but I’m afraid we’ll just have to keep licking our forefinger, sticking it in the air and saying a little prayer! As posted before some dealers think that PDI is just "extra money" from the manufacturers to boost their profits, and do not carry it out properly,knowing if there are any problems ,the new owner will be in contact, which in turn will give the dealer another "income" via a warranty claim to the manufacturer

I am afraid that if you look at the results of the customer survey run annually by PC magazine and the CCC you will see that no one comes out with any credibility. Bailey are by no means the worst but whatever you buy there is a decent chance of a pup.
