has anyone had any experience of the MAXVIEW MXL012/55 Precision Portable Satellite System are they any good and worth buying

    Used one for a couple of years , a bit fiddly to get the tripod level,but quiet easy to get a signal, I use an app called dish align

    I have the twin LNB version

    I made my own stand and with recycled domestic sky dish and LNB it cost peanuts. With compass and cheap sat finder it does the same. Not sure the bigger dish is that much of an advantage since the Sat footprint changed several years ago not that we venture into the fringes anyway.

    For use in the UK the 55 CM version mentioned will be of adequate size, but if for use in France its size could become an issue if used further South than the Loire.
