Satnav advice

Hi. I’d welcome some advice as to which satnav to buy to use with our Burstner Ixeo 680G motorhome. ‘Which’ consumer guide isn’t terribly flattering re the caravan/motorhome versions and only awards 70% for the best - a Garmin - with a number of failings over the ‘car’ version that were more highly rated.

Any comments/help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Yetioner,

i use a Garmin for work (class 1 lorry) cheaper than lorry satnav, because a satnav is only a guide. Common sense over rules every time and a Collins atlas, happy travels.

I have been using a TomTom Start 60 with camper maps added for about 7 years now and it has proved pretty reliable in terms of getting me to where I want to go and avoiding any difficulties along the route. Not had a lot of luck with Garmin in the past but that might have changed.

We have an Aguri used it for the last 12mths home and abroad and happy with it. Maps are lifetime updates and the screen is easy to see.

It also has a built in dash cam, which can be switched off separate to the satnav.
