hello everyone.

We camped for years, and owned an old caravan for a short while a very long time ago. We have recently retired and splashed out buying a small motorhome  - achieved a dream!

We hope to travel all round the UK, and Europe too - if we’re still allowed in 😉

we particularly want to do the “north 500”. All advice gratefully received!

Welcome to CT both of you. Hope you enjoy your new motorhome. If you're heading for Northern Scotland late May or early June is a good time to go, you'll see the gardens and countryside starting to wake up and it will be slightly less busy in the popular spots. Give yourselves plenty of travel time, there aren't many straight roads and the map makes things look closer together! smile

Have a great time round that route. Don't be afraid of using the map to make diversions, and especially feel free to take a long time smile
You'll encounter the brigade who feel it makes them big to hire a top-end sports car and belt round in 48 or 24 hours. Let 'em get on with it, it's more fun having nice conversations with local shopkeepers and stopping in beautiful places.
