Someone will tell me they take an iron next surprised

    I do.

Twin tub washer bought a number of years ago after getting fed up with dog hairs on my washing from dirty machines on CAMC sites.

I don't mind doing small items by hand (I still do) but when you are way for 2-3 mths towels, bedding, jeans and tops all need to be washed.

The machines abroad always seem to be busy as many as 4 bags waiting to be done at times. Hand wringing T shirts and tops can ruin them as they get all out of shape.

Like others I pick a day when we have nothing much to do or when OH wants to wash the car etc. getting clothes dry isn't a problem when away abroad, usually takes an hour or two wink

Washer travels in car but lives in the shower cubicle when on site.

A solution but you may want to examine the cost implications of sun block versus laundrette fees.

Bonterra Park store things for people who go back every year, like satellite dishes and fridges,  up in the top storage yard and they charge by the pallet,  so it was quite normal to see fridges stored on top of each other by Spanish family's and paying for one pallet.  They even have large fridge freezers stored there.

Someone will tell me they take an iron next

We carry a small Iron and ironing board that fits on the side dinette table. It gets used even less than the TV!

When we stayed on The Minnows site at Tiverton in early July 2017 Fliss wanted to iron a dress as we were meeting with friends for a meal. At around 9am I said to Fliss there is an iron and ironing board in the laundry which would be easier for that floaty summer dress. It was in use at the time and had been since just after 8am. at 9.30 I wandered down and asked the lady that was using it if she had much more to do. She said she was only passing the time ironing stuff that didn't need to be ironed as her hubby was out and she found it relaxing but it was dree whenever we wanted. Different strokes .......

Back in 1991 we were on a large municipal site outside Nimes.  There were a dozen or so families who were obviously travelling market traders.  Each of them had the obligatory Merc saloon and a large truck with huge caravan.  They also had dedicated trailers each of which had a washing machine and dryer inside.  Judging by the appearance these were trailer units manufactured for the purpose.

We always source the local launderette where ever we are. If there isn’t one, we manage! Hand washing in an emergency is no problem but we have never had to do it.
