Something hanging off under the van

Hi all, just noticed something hanging off under the van (2015 Sprite Major TD6).

It is an L-shaped piece of metal, maybe a bracket, and seems to be attached to the breakaway cable.  Not the best photo, I apologise.

So anyway, it seems to be hanging/swinging freely so I'm not too concerned about damaging anything if I catch it on something on the ground/road, but what is it ?  Some kind of guide for the breakaway cable perhaps ? Will need to get it fixed eventually but would be good to know what it is and that it's not desperately urgent/important.

    Hand  or  foot  hold  for  illegals  perhaps  undecided  ??

    Not been under a caravan in a while but, best guess, a support/ guide for a brake cable

    Looking at your picture I would say it is the brake rod support bracket nothing to do with the breakaway cable - needs immediate attention

    As pathfinder says - the short part of the 'L' screws to the floor of the caravan. You must have caught it on a speed bump or something

    Ok thank guys, will get under the van and sort it pronto.
