I think one of the wardens at a site we stayed on last year was called Lou Brush!  laughing

How do know that the lady hadn't been blowing leaves or stray pitch stones on roads in another part of the site which really did need it? How do we know she wasn't just checking the rest of the site as she wondered back to the office or workshop as she went, that would seem sensible and would save time and effort in my view. Too many people in life only see a snap shot of the lives of others and make assumptions, often incorrect ones.

but even more strange is that they see a need to post about such a trivial matter on here.

I thought that was W&J's job (where are they btw?)

Seems like any opportunity to knock the club, pretty pathetic really

Because my pitch is as far from the office & garage/workshop as you could get. It's almost spring ... there are no leaves to blow & we've had weather warnings about various storms so any leaf that might have been around has already been blown by the weather. Leaf blowing yesterday was a complete waste of time whether you want to knock the club or not.

Trivial perhaps .... but it astounded me how anyone could waste their time doing some that that didn't need doing

didn't need doing according to you of course, maybe it wasn't leaves they were blowing?

on this mythical still unnamed site.

But yes sorry, you holiday your way of course. Enjoyment of sites comes in many forms, if warden job watching then posting on here about it is yours who I am to say that is strange, just strange to me. (on this still unnamed site?)

But there are lots of twigs after this wind on the sites I've been on this last week and stones picked up in tyres. If the lady is not just doing that obviously needed but also checking the rest of the site, keeping on top of it even in the furthest reaches that's good and sensible. Maybe more to it than noticed. After all, maybe the site looks so clear of debris because she has done it so efficiently and just returning to base having done so.

Well yes I agree with you there - I'm astounded that anyone could waste their time starting a thread that didn't need doing! laughing

But when we are away we do not look for reasons to complain that we also have no knowledge of the reasons why such operations are being carried out, undecided

Quite Agree, one of the very few things i dislike about Club sites.

Afternoon Facilities cleaning, when nearly everyone is offsite makes much more sense. But hey ho youre not here to enjoy yourself you know...just follow the rules.

And IF the work rota says: Blow imaginary leaves away,  even if it IS a waste of time and petrol.....we do it.

Not to me it doesn't. After the early morning "rush to the flush" the facilities are at their worst (whatever it might be) and I like them spick and span for my lunchtime visit when they are quiet.

I am having trouble identifying site. Thought looking at number of pitches would cut the mustard , but then someone posted about pitch number anomalies........

I was merely bemused as to why you'd need/want to use a leaf blower when there was sod all to blow.

Do you need to? It's a site on a hill with lots of trees  .... could be one of many CC sites.

Can never please all! I like to shower in the evening or very early! May be better to cut the grass and do the blowing and other ground work when everyone or most is off site.

Lancs and the NW is a touch like Timbuktu to us, looks and sounds nice and exotic, but we never seem to get there, so I am curious😂

Box ticking is a political legacy. You have happy amateurs, misled workers, head hunted professionals.............and Failing Grayling, who inhabits box ticking heights others gaze at with disbelief!🤣🤣🤣
