On here today a Sunday, it is about 30%motor caravans  of those on site ,but one thing is very noticeable, is that numerous motor caravans are users of wastemasters under the waste outlets and with aquarolls alongside, which I would take as the a large percentage of those on site and the majority are retirees ,are convertions from c/vans and are still being used the samesurprised

    Sorry for straying frown

Are they like the 'undead' where there's still a little humanity in them but they haven't quite transitioned yetlaughing

Maybe they are staying several nights and do not wish to have to move the MH to the service point?

Probably, but it is evidently poor form when a motorhomer does not follow the strict pattern of procedure expected by the elite of this clan is it not?

For an extra £3.90 per night, I would rather move the MH!

They could well be on a service pitch for some reason nothing to do with the services. I'm thinking hard standing, TV reception, view, proximity (or not) of playground, get two pitches together, ease of parking.  There will be more, lots more.

This is a good example of why it is pointless to surmise what other people are doing on site. It is the modern virtual equivalent of curtain twitching.

in the early part of this tour (from 8th Jan) it was cold in places at night and we used gas (being off grid a bit) and was very impressed with not only the power (combi 6e) but the controllability on gas....

using the Eco fan mode and setting a temp a little above the ambient, the unit trickled along very quietly yet still delivering a serious slug of heat...

the 6kw unit can deliver 2/4/6 kw depending on the difference between the current temp and that set on the thermostat, so can be economical too.

when using it for water heating only, it uses the 2 kw burner...

hope all the testing went well....youll soon be off...smile

We don't have heating on at night - but we have a fixed double bed, a good duvet and know how to stay warm.  We also drink the local water - but only once it has been passed through a brewery.

    Caravanning is fun!
