So what did the Club ever do for Motorcaravanners?

Or 1, 4 all and all 4, 1. Perhaps that only applies to Sprite Musketeers.

Reading your usual way off the mark diatribe trying to compare both major clubs type of site with what it seems is a Haven type holiday camp , that most in this country and the hundreds or maybe thousands of visitors from "over there" who continue to keep coming over here and use club sites ,which are what they want ,and are on a par and in a lot of instances better than a lot of Camp sites "over there"if reading site reviews about them

I thought a tiny (really tiny) majority of UK voters had decided it had had enough of Europe deciding what this country needs?
Ayrshire is off my touring map for moment as well. At least until French have sorted out a small nuclear reactor issue.......

not only that but is DD saying these few actually represent what is really 'thought'?
Is so that extrapolation on a totally fantastic scale.

Some MHs have fillers/drains on the offside, some on the nearside, some one each side so there’s no one size fits all with MHSPs unless a large piece of land is allocated. The slope at Dunnet Bay is nothing much and at least the service point isn’t on the one way system.
I don’t want the club to provide special facilities for me and other MH-ers at the expense of caravanners and, whilst I think it’s great that the MHSPs are being upgraded, I don't consider them essential as any accessible tap and drain will do the job. One of the biggest advantages of MHSPs is that they get our MHs off the site roads that we might otherwise block if we used the ordinary service points. I suppose it could be said that they benefit all.

DustyRhoades - Hopefully we will get some feedback as Rowena posted this earlier today. "With regards to this discussion, "thank you to those for your constructive comments, which I have forwarded to my colleagues for their reference and feedback."

Would a longer hose not be adequate for filling off a slope? It certainly works for us, we park level and then take hose to tap. We have also been rather surprised at how many of the drive over grids have been installed in last few years, initially it was thought this type of upgrade was going to take much longer. Not that we use many Club Sites, but we have noticed this.

Now heres a thought, last year on site we had plenty of European motorhomes visit the site, many were German and many only booked for one night as they wanted to tour many also stayed more than one night as the site and area was very good, funny old world isnt it DD we all expect different things even shock horror our European cusins like different things.
You can use as many analogies to fit what you want it to but so can others

Why is that strange? Unless you’re on a club site.
Nobody's said it can’t be done as long as space permits.

" no café, no shop and far from commerce. "
For where some of the, well attended, sites are located - such as Altnahara - the site IS the commerce.
Is there still a "Billy Butlin's Caravan Club" anymore?

I think that it depends on location. There are lots of CLs close to the "old " Much Wenlock site which seemed to do very well being full or nearly so the times that we've past them.

You really are the master of not answering questions
Corners, your question was unworthy of a reply. I have made my points and Rowena has said she will seek feedback. That is enough for me. Its for the Club to decide where its market and profitability lie and for members and prospective members to decide whether the Club meets their needs. I can think of at least 3 ways the Club could improve, they have all been raised on CT before so I do not intend to point them out and prolong this thread further so don't ask but none of them are remotely connected with Aires.
I am certainly not overly concerned what the Club does or doesn't do. Should it not be meeting requirements, we are all free to consider what the alternatives are and is membership worth it.

The lady was not in danger of starving on the site outside the UK and was aware of the site type she wanted she wanted. So she wants somewhere near commerce with shops then there are plenty of alternatives. Others make different choices as they have different wants.

wow, mine was a simple question, would you use club sites if they had these short stay cheaper pitches
Not worthy of a reply? I'll take that as a no then.
It is obvious you are not interested in using club sites, just posting 'improvements' that you personally will not use?
