Suspension repair

Hi. We have a 1983 ABI Supreme which we’ve had for about 3 years. I’ve noticed that the suspension bushes look in a pretty poor state. It’s not a job I can tackle myself. Can anyone suggest a company in the Southampton area who could take a look and replace. I’ve been told by a friend who works in the motor home industry that no one will work on ‘ancient’ caravans.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks, Jez

Now that's an old en. I would look around caravan scrap yards for something similar.

Try contacting a few mobile technicians and see what they say.

Actually, a competent motor mech should be able to do it.

Just what I was going to suggest TW! See if you can find a decent old fashioned garage, one that understands cars and can do things without plugging things into a computer. It shouldn’t  be a big job, hardest task on something that old is likely to be getting things to undo. We have a 1984 Cotswold.

Thanks all for your advice. I hadn’t considered using a car mechanic. I have a couple of people I can try, especially the one who looks after my old Land Rover.

    cheers, jez

Google suspension repairs Southampton and you will come up with all sorts.  Just ring a few and see if any can handle a caravan
