I think I pretty much agree with this. Personally I would like the conversion of waste points to be accelerated as I do struggle with the heavy drain covers but things are gradually changing for the better in that respect.

And then of course there is now (i have been advised)the growing problem of the drive overs also being used to empty toilet cassettesyell

The Seafront at Fareham with a generator running is my idea of Hell, plus others parked with only a fag papers distance between us......I would rather stay at home.

My idea of allowing M/Hs AND caravanners to overnight stay on LNA areas (where they still exist) is to free up pitches for longer stayers on regular pitches.

Moving on folk on who try to overstay (2 nights maximum...remember) would be no different from folk who overstay on a normal pitch.

at a reduced price(as it is not a regular pitch) it would help travelling M/Hs as well as Caravanners who are 'en route' to a distant place or just 'touring'  remember that 'old concept'.

by who ??  I have only ever seen this once, the person was a Continental Caravanner who spoke no English, I stopped him and pointed out the CDP with hand signals.

No CMC member would mistake a drive over drain for a CDP.......surely.

Nobody would use a CC site for more than 4 nights and not join ..... surely

Bearing in mind that some of the ‘new and improved’ MHSPs have drive over drains for black waste tanks, I can see how someone might get it wrong if they’re a little bewildered.

All the ones I have seen appear to be intended for just grey waste. The type of grid used could get fairly messy if used for black.

Chester Fairoaks has one but it’s a lid lifting job, not a grid. 😂

As an ex-highway engineer in Cheshire I would say that the grey water and black will go down the same systems and so, with a manhole no real problem. Toilet paper decorating a grid is not attractive though

All members should be treated equally which is broadly what happens now. It is simply not on that sites should be only for motorhomes. all members must have equal rights subject to planning consent.

Local facilities for motorhomes are sadly lacking in many areas, but I do not see the club being able to provide them if they are not available to caravans as well.

"One trap to take it all!"

Perhaps the decorative effects of the non-liquid contents of the black waste tank could be mitigated against by having a simple mechanism fitted to the discharge points of motor caravans whereby only once the black waste had been completely discharged would the grey waste discharge (through the same outlet) commence.

The small 23lt fiamma roll tank might prove useful in these situations and on sites that don't have a MH waste point you can drive to. We were looking at possibly purchasing one.

If you are talking about being able to park in car parks during the day I would agree in part. It does not affect many caravanners as when looking for parking most have pitched elsewhere and are solo, If you are talking of places to pitch then I disagree. Yes some pitch on site and have issues with transportation but that is purely down to their choice of vehicle and is something for them to consider when they choose a site

But we have and the waste dump point was c++P without a lift off  cover, hopefully it has now been amongst the miriad of works that are/were needed to bring the site to a decent standardwink
