Swift Microwave
I've just got halfway through cooking some jacket spuds in our 2016 Sprite Alpine 4 and a buzzing noise and a burning smell came from our microwave. It still turns and is lit up but it's not heating anymore. I've just checked the handbook & microwaves are only warranted for 2 years so it looks like I will have to stump up for a new one. Does anyone know if you can buy these or do I have to go back to the dealer in order to buy one from Swift. Thanks for any help in advance..

Buy a cheapo m/wave from a supermarket as long as it fits and is of a similar power rating.
The only thing different about a special caravan m/wave is the price.

Have a look at one of these
I've used a similar one for 5 years without any trouble. And my current Bailey was fitted with one when new.
Available for around £70, but not from Bailey!

Thanks for the replies, there seems to be a discrepancy between the Swift website and my handbook, the website says the microwave for 2016 models are only covered for 2 years but my handbook says 3 so I will ring the dealer tomorrow to clarify.

I had a similar problem in my Bailey Pegasus.
First see if they are still making the microwave you've got. If so you're 90% of the way there! Get another one from Amazon/Argos or whatever. To remove look carefully for the screws that hold the unit in position. Remove the old unit and look at both the old and new units to see if any holes need drilling (CAREFUL). If so drill the requisite holes to the right size and reinstall.
It's not difficult but you need some basic DIY skills.

Ours packed up after a couple of years and we are now on the 4th one.
Second one was a Panasonic from John Lewis and the bulb blew after 10 months so a replacement was supplied, which we totally destroyed by melting the inside. Shush, not allowed to speak of it
Just need to check 3 things, power rating, the weight is the same or lower than the one you have and the vent positions should line up with any vent holes/slots in your housing to avoid drilling any extra holes.
