Hot on the heels of the Pump King Fuel Card collaboration I have heard about a proposed new venture involving a major site operator and a major healthcare provider of ophthalmic, audiometric and other services.

A spokesman said that "Given the demographic profile of our membership and the increasing healthcare needs of the ageing population we have joined together to created a number of sites where members can stay in the relaxing  and familiar setting of their own camping units and enjoy laser surgery and other services on site provided by our team of dedicated and highly skilled health professionals. "

The name of the new venture has yet to be decided but one suggestion is "A site for sore eyes"

Being a retired Nurse and  a keen 'van' er,I can appreciate how appealing this service could be.

Apart from being woken up at rediculously early o'clock by the sound of the pesky birds and other wildlife while out in the sticks, I can honestly say that there's nowt wrong wi me earin.

as for mi sight, well. lets just say I don't see signs on caravan sites too well. Perhaps the cataracts and mucky glasses don't help with that. so maybe I need implants to correct that.

While your at it, what about Leg transplants.Wife needs some new ones due to Arthur (itis).

Having tried to book a site on the dates I have available it seems that most are pretty much booked up all year round. so I'm guessing that a 'surgery' of some kind  would certainly be an asset to a site's facilities.

Derbyshire is pretty central to us all so that would be a suitable location for most of the services to be offered. Come on, CAMC. Get with it and see what you can do.
