    Hi

Like JK I too could fill a volume the size of War and Peace after 14 years, even this weekend at Brighton had two toilets full to the top with paper and other floaty things. We have seen excrement distributed in most places in the toilets block in that time but the winner goes to the person who lifted the ceiling tile and placed a rather large amount there one August, it took us a while to track down  by smell but fortunately I was the Warden so delegated the work to my Assistant's which gave them much satisfaction. I have to say throughout my time with the club and JK may back me here but the Ladies are always in a worse state then the Gents.

    Phil

I think you read to much into things that are just as rare, as you seem to find on the sites you use, but then over here it normally is not required to as some say for on the sites you use to be continually having to clean themwink

We use club sites fairly regularly and 95% of the time it’s obvious that others are respecting the site and fellow campers. I would say there’s a far better chance of getting a clean toilet/shower on a CMC site than in a restaurant, pub or hotel public area which are almost universally disgusting after a few hours use. Why do so many men choose to pee on the floor when there’s a perfectly good urinal available? Some of it may be down to laziness as it’s always the urinal nearest to the entrance that’s surrounded by a small lake of urine. I wonder if they pee all over the toilet floor at home and in their van? Maybe they’re the same people who buy a take-away at McDonalds et al, and then chuck all the rubbish out of the car window in the Cornish lanes?

    Hi

Last sentence Phil, definitely in the 10 plus sites I've worked.undecided

While we're talking little snippets, when we worked at Broadway one winter, a ladies toilet cubicle had had the wall and floor tiles completely repointed with poo. Expensive repair as we had to retile.yell

    Happy Days

The things some people do is almost beyond belief. Many years ago the lady warden on one site without a barrier did tell me of one problem member.

They were woken up by someone banging on their door at about 5 in the morning. The person concerned had driven through the night to avoid a nights pitch fees and wanted to set up the outfit on the site.He was told to stay where he was and they would book him in when the office opened.

They went back inside and about thirty minutes later they were woken by a banging sound. The warden went out to see what it was and found the man had driven onto an empty pitch and was erecting an awning. The words spoken to him are not recorded.

It is a tiny minority who carry out such appalling behaviour. What worries me more is that they are breeding and raising youngsters up to have the same attitudes. Often such behaviour is a cowardly response if anyone dares to question what someone can and cannot do. They find other methods of getting their own back, that impacts on all visitors. I saw it a lot when I was in charge of Leisure facilities, staff would challenge bad behaviour, only to find a cowardly form of revenge had been carried out elsewhere in building. I had to deal with my staff and myself being verbally abused on a regular basis. If it got physical then it got sorted in other ways. Having been there, I have the utmost respect for those working front line services.
