charging onsite and the new rivian 4x4 electric
ive just been looking at towing with electric vehicles and found the rivian 4x4 electric , finally an electric car i would consider buying to tow with ,
im now wondering how caravan club feels about me charging it on their power supply ?
im really interested in rivian .

I looked at these a few months ago...production not due to start until 2020 (in US) then possibly available to preorder following year in UK at £51K (current basic)...
Perhaps the club will be forward thinking and install charging points for electric vehicles (hopefully with a payment option to make them self financing)...

The real problem may be the range you get when towing, but that depends on how far you go. I have yet to wee a recharging point on the road that car take a car and caravan so in most cases you would have to unhitch sit around for a considerable time and then hitch up again. Until this is remedied it makes towing far more difficult than it should be.

If memory serves me well...there are various battery pack options available with a possible max mileage of around 400....but i do agree, charging points on the road are generally restricted to non towing vehicles...
I did read somewhere that these vehicles would incorporate "self charging" technology..
