Surfer there have been a lot of posts on this thread about things going wrong with the card promotion. It's no ones fault except the provider's operation. No doubt if you have a card you should expect it to work and at least you have all been able to air your views on here.

i do not entirely agree, the club were responsible for promoting this fuel card on behalf of the members, and if you trawl back a million miles i think it was ecommerce1 (staff) who said this deal was 2 years in the making, and i think i responded with the statement that somebody should be walking the plank if this was the case.

This is the 2nd promotion re fuel cards screwed up by the club. The Shell card was originally issued as all Shell stations, quickly withdrawn and re-issued as motorway service stations only. I seem to recall pump king was the provider of the Shell card.

With regards to the Esso card we are still waiting the results of the so called prize draw, if it has ever taken place, we have also been promised new cards by the 18th Feb. I am one of the lucky ones and my original card still works, many dont. It will be interesting to see how pump king handle this change over.

But by and large in all of this the club have remained silent. This in my mind is not good enough, they should have been proactive and maybe cancelled the whole promotion or sent somebody to sit on pump king until this shambles was sorted.

look at what they stated, is it true, again i seem to recall that somewhere way back that other groups had been offered the same card ?, might have been on FB and i dont do FB.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

would be interesting to know just how much the club stand or should i say stood to make out of all this

In defence of the Club, I would say that they have been helpful in facilitating the cancellation of my account and deletion of bank details. I had a message from Megan this morning confirming that is now the case. I’m just happy to have nothing to do with this scheme or Pump King ever, ever again.

The problem is, Seaside Bill that you probably will never know if your account and bank details have, in fact, been Deleted User. We have seen so many promises from the Club and Pump King that things will be done and by when that turn out not to be true - delivery dates for the cards a very good example. I'm still awaiting a promised £5.00 credit on my account.

"We have been working to establish a more efficient and enhanced offering, and as a result all cardholders will be receiving a new membership card by Monday 18th February."

Has anyone received their card yet?

You could ask your bank for a new debit card if you want to be safe.

My experience so far has been wonderful.

Been using the card for over four weeks and they have yet to charge anything to my bank account cool

This may be total coincidence and also unrelated however the amount of "junk" mail coming in as definitely increased in the past month.  I am not talking about spam email or emails about things getting bigger, but emails from companies that seem to actually exist.

Thanks for that ,i filled up on the 9th feb  with exactly 22ltrs and according to the "order" from pump king the price was £1.239 but they have added VAT to that,so it it worked out more expensive than the local co op at 1.259yell

Im assuming they are going to issue all the cards, new and replacement in one complete go today or tomorrow by post, but as they have struggled to keep up with the issue over a 3 month period I would think this is unlikely to be achievable.

as people have said they have not received the card up to now, me included, I will be very surprised if every one is satisfied by Monday mornings post delivery.

Is it me or has a new selection appeared for "Activate your fuel card" on the pump king site. I don't remember it being there before.

think you may be confused, the email i think has 2 parts to it, first part shows x amount of ltrs at the card price incl VAT, 2nd part shows x amount of ltrs at card price less VAT then it shows the VAT amount and again the total, so what you will be charged is nbr ltrs x card price, well that is how mine worked laughing

i dont see that, but I have a working card and have had almost since day one, and i seem to recall i had to log onto the site to activate the card. If you have never had a card and therefore never activated a  card you might be still seeing the original web page, if that makes sense.

i see the club are keeping us all informed as to what is going on, NOT, Guess they will all be shooting off for the weekend very shortly and just leaving us all in the dark, at least I have 2 cars full of diesel.laughingmore than some i guess.

I'm not seeing that either. There is no option to either activate or change a card. I will not be surprised if I am unable to use the replacement card as a result, once / if it arrives, which as yet it hasn't.

Justus2, it appears on mine on the first splash screen after I have logged on, it's down the left hand side.

Although I doubt it'll be much use without the "new card"undecided

Once I log in I straight away get profile, receipts, stored cards and find nearest station on the LHS, it has always been like that, but no option to activate new card... It is probably another blunder, but I have no new card yet anyway so I may use the old one before it is deactivated, but at the moment, even here, Morrisons is the same price.. Odd that as up till now the card has always been 3p cheaper, but we are due another text tonight...
