Welcome, RM, but you really need to give us some clues.

The UK is big and there are thousands of sites of varying types from all singing and dancing to a field with a tap.

Club site, CLs or commercial sites, with or without toilet facilities?

    Wales/ Lake District/ Norfolk, that’s a huge ask.

Tell you what, check out the club sites and CLs and when you’ve spotted a few possibles, we can give you the low down.👍🏻

Rothwellmagnus,  But Club sites tend to be formal and some CL's can be just a quarter of an acre  - so have to  a look at the Coolcamping website - it may give you a few ideas for the sort of informal sites you are looking for with woods, stream and playing space for the children - perhaps even campfires too.

RWM, is your Austin 7 on a trailer, if so make sure you pick a site with generous pitches if you want to offload everything easily. That  said I'd take a look at Camping in the Forest sites, you might find something that suits your family activities there. Here's a LINK

What a lovely combination! Do you show the Austin? We have seen a few MH/classic car duos travelling around, and we are sometimes tempted.

There are lovely sites in all those three areas you have mentioned, another factor might be if you can cope with grass pitches in good weather. One of our favourite Norfolk spots is Fakenham Racecourse. You might be able to get a HS spot there. It’s only a short walk, even for little legs into the town, and it’s central for lots of gorgeous places to visit along the North Norfolk Coast. You could walk all the way around the Racecourse last time we were there, including a look at the water jump! But no paddling in there! There is a big car park at Brancaster, for either Rosie or your MH, almost on the beach.

I am going to have a guess at your possible home area, and if I am right, (Rothwell is the clue), you won’t be far from A1, and that gives easy access to Northumberland, which is a paradise in terms of gorgeous (empty!) beaches, lots of castles for little knights, and stunning scenery. Apologies of course if I have your location incorrect.laughing

Edit Nunnykirk Site has woods, stream, lots of space for little ones, all grass pitches, but we didn’t have any problems last year. Near Alnwick in Northumberland.

Hi and welcome from me too. Sounds a great outfit combo smile

Take a look at the CAMC Coniston Park Coppice site in the Lakes, it matches some of your requirements. Large woodland and plenty of water laughing

That's a good one Helen, the Borrowdale site might be another to consider although no facilities. Both have got lake side beaches and run around space in the woods.

    Hi RM

take a look at Bryn y Gwin farm, near Dolgellau North Wales.

its a C L on what used to be a working sheep farm, as most in Wales it’s undulating but Ian, since he has taken over, has put in electrics and levelled the pitches. So now it’s more suitable for Motorhome as well.

its by no means a manicured site but we have been using it for over 35 years and our kids loved it there. It used to have only a water tap and we loved it for it.

What it has in its favour is location. Secluded but close to town. Surrounded by woods which Ian owns and can be explored by kids. A steam through the site and small river nearby for exploring also. Ian and Tracey are very welcoming of children having four youngsters of there own.

The beach isn’t far away if the weather is good, or if it’s raining there are forest walks and waterfalls to find, not to mention old gold mines/workings.

When we go back now our kids still like to visit with the grandchildren. Good Memories.

It’s quite a narrow approach lane for the final half mile but we get our twin axle down ok. Oh and it’s best to use on board facilities as I consider the small toilet/ shower as for campers use or emergencies.

Park Coppice sound ideal for you with playgrounds, plenty of woodland and numerous shallow becks. The lake shore is a short walk through the site. Your A7 will enjoy the narrow lanes and Lakeland passes. There are lots of us with A7s in Cumbria, real driving!
