Hoses
Just read a review complaining about the lack of hose pipes on service points, particularly motorhome service points.To be honest I haven't seen one on a tap for a very long time. If they still exist I would want to know where that pipe had recently been inserted and what it was used for. Several years ago I witnessed a person washing out a toilet cassette with the supplied fresh water hose pipe. No wonder these have been removed. We now carry our own potable water hose, so much safer for all concerned don't folk agree.

The scenario described by MSF shows why there are no hoses. You can't legislate for idiots.

Same here, hope they never have them. Far better to use your own. I suppose the person making the comment has not thought it through. Probably seen a hose for rinsing the waste tank (do people ever use these?) and thought the hose was missing from the fresh water supply?

As a motorcaravanner, I welcome a 'not for drinking' water hose that enables me to give my waste tank a quick rinse but more importantly, hose down the waste point areas after I've used them. Absence of such hoses I put down to measly penny pinching although with the new grids, perhaps the wardens hose them down so a 'mobile hose' is sufficient.

It wasn't the much shorter waste hose that was in question, these still exist. It was the longer potable water tank filling ones that have rightly been removed. One mistake or careless use of these, when they were present, could have ruined someone else's holidays. Best carry your own. Not penny pinching but probably saving you lots of involuntary 'spending a penny' incidents.😚

I think it was many years ago that hoses were removed from drinking water taps. H&S and common sense regarding hygiene prevailed.
