Probably covered by Contract Law Nav. Institution sets out reasonable guidance in terms of things like speed limits whilst on site, those wishing to use, or in Club’s case join, are deemed to have accepted such terms and conditions, and agree to comply with them. It’s the small print that goes with any holiday let or site usage. It would be a good basis for outing some members who are clearly not following such guidance, but needs proof.

Perfectly correct and a valid detail that I omitted. However I would think that the term "private" would start from where the OP was stopped by the security guard and had to make payment. At that point the general public no longer have access to the roadway as the security guard should be turning them away due to restricted access.
Although the OP may appear to be in the wrong, if he can demonstrate that there were valid reasons for the mishap, then in a civil court he may have a chance of winning against a team of professional solicitors.
As far was I am aware the hearing will probably be in a private room with their solicitor, the judge or magistrate and the OP and any witnesses which is why the OP needs to make sure that they stick to verifiable facts and is also able to quote extracts from legislation that may help their case.
The judge or magistrate probably will have very little understanding of any specific laws and needs to be told and possibly shown the legislation.
Blathering on about facial expressions and what was said without any hard evidence would be meaningless and may irritate the person presiding over the case. One needs to be careful with facts and what could be regarded as fantasy.

For me the mirror is an irrelevance with regard to your manoeuvre on a right hand curve such as that as you can see front edge of caravan. It only becomes an issue if you mention keeping right in case of avoiding cyclists. A mirror would have been more important IMO on a left had curve where the caravan would tend to cut in towards the fenceline etc.

Guys I am just doing some paperwork and came across this photo which I would like to share.
Sorry if I am going on and on.
You can see from the footage I was at roughly the same distance when sat talking to the attendant. Now look at the position from a different angle other than the cctv as I believe the angle of the footage is deceiving.
Sorry I couldnt make it any larger

That 'Out' barrier is too close to the the 'in' route, both moving barriers need shortening , with a fixed post in between. Or need staggering , bet this has happened before. Poor design.
The op was too far over because he couldnt see down his nearside, NO extension mirror, 60/40 .

Thanks rayjsj, could I ask why you think I need to see down my nearside? as pointed out prior with the mirror on I would not have been able to see down the side as I am on a bend. As stated by myself and I am unsure if you have read through the reply, I could see my caravan edge which is all the reference I needed to form a judgement when my caravan came level to the fence. With my extended mirror what would I have seen that would have made any difference other than to look into the woods further to the side of my caravan

It does me. in the cars mirrors I cant see the van behind the caravan but in the extended ones I can.

If deemed fit i would think they can bring a private prosecution against anyone who does not apply themselves to the site traffic signs,as has been found in the past (cannot remember if was a ccsite) when an insurance claim was rejected, as the claimant was driving against the site traffic requirements

But, sadly, not with reference to anything beside it😕
Different mirrors as well.

But slight bend in the road or not you have a further/bigger field of rear vision with the extra ones,
p.s you were wise to get shot of the Vauxhall given its past MOT history

But not as you could,/should have with the missing which would have given a much wider angle meaning you would have seen anything alongside and then not needed to give so much space on the left, and kept the whole outfit to the correct side of the road

In the picture you posted of your car only, the road curves to the right, I think you said previously you took the line you did because of the next bend after the barrier, but that being the case you were approaching it wrongly moving to the right, keeping left is the correct line is it not. You have, in my view, contradicted yourself.

No, I was following the natural curve of the road is what it should have read. As I pull over to clear the Said fence, you will see my car wheels have straightened up to bring myself back into line encroaching onto the bend, The whole road is a bend, stupid place to put barriers in my view only.

Probably as important as seeing what is behind is knowing how a trailer does in use (not always follow the same lines as the vehicle towing it). Also being mindful of that extra width afforded by a caravan. Furthermore, knowledge of barriers which move in a horizontal plain and cover no more than the carriageway which is marked with 'graffiti' this offering, in this instance, no more than guidance to all road users. All very reasonable I believe.

Yes [Deleted User User] you are correct and I agree, from measurements and footage my car is within the white line and my caravan tyres dont go into the opposite carriageway, surely for a car to drive within its lane on a motorway the wheels have to be within the carriageway or within the lines. In my case both were.
For instance a vehicle towing a say a large dumper truck, the wheels are within the boundaries of his lane but the load isnt

Checked, possible A frame obstruction. I should have checked the heavens before moving off.
I think this is one of them unlucky moments of both went together, as we both went together I did my checks prior, for me to form a judgement. So forming this in the few seconds prior i did my checks and it was clear, i was more interested in anything coming ahead such as vehicles as i would need to adjust my position yet again and more so the DAM fence. Why build a fence to the side of the road!!
Did you check the MOT status?
