Where can I find a list of all the basic club sites, which are priced at £15 per night?

Micky1, if you click on Uk Holidays, top tool bar, there is a clickable list on the right hand side "tour for less." Here's a quick LINK.

Ok thanks, but they are a bit hidden away,as though we are not meant to find them. It's not easy to see in the book.

We've visited them all and can thoroughly recommend them. We love these types of sites, just like large Cls. There are a few other CC sites where you can pay the same or even less if you choose your visiting time when they have Mid Week Discounts, most of them also being non-facility sites such as Englethwaite.

Plymouth Sound is coming in at less than £15 on some days for two adults.

Stover CP for the last week, Stamford, & White Water Park are 3 others where MWD brings the price down below £15 for some time during the year. Not look at any others.

I can't get my head around some of the reasoning for MWD.

We were looking to maybe fit in a quick visit to Meathop Fell in Winter yet there is no MWD at anytime whatsoever. Is this site so full at the end of January that it doesn't need a helping hand to fill it? Ditto LMP at Chirk.

You would think that, apart from honeypot sites, all sites that are open in winter months should have MWD. My own opinion of course.

... and if you click on Coniston for Jan/Feb it takes you too ..... Burrs!! 🤔I reported this the other day using chat but needless to say that presumably the IT are still working on it

WN, I just had a look at Meathop via the web site and there a some mid-week discounts, so you might be in luck. smile

Both of these site used to have MWD during the early/late season. Perhaps HO decided in their wisdom that the amount of additional visitors that came during those periods were not sufficient to make up for the loss of income from the number that would have visited at the full price. .....Hope this makes sense.

Just a shame that the MWD was not in force in January as we might well have used it earlier this week. Instead we stopped on a CL...another loss of income for the club.

Suggest you try Old Barn Farm, Newby Bridge. I'll e-mail you about it tomorrow.

You might well spend the change on heating laughing

The house will be heated anyway as MIL lives with us. Quite frankly £10 isn't going to break the bank but as Nellie alludes to we could quite easily end up on a CL instead. No skin off our nose.

It's the same at Burrs, Bury, no MWD in January, February and first half of March.  Yet it used to have MWD during that period, so are there a lot more people using the site at that time now?  And from 7-23 of May there is MWD, when I'd have thought there would be more people using the site than in the first 10/11 weeks of the year.

January, February and into March can see high levels of electric usage and no doubt did last year

There are a few days at mid week discount in March on the Meathop Fell site if WN is looking in.

EasyT it would make sense that there aren't so many discounts in the colder months, a bit of a balancing act.

Also Brue as there are fewer sites open January February that might bring more usage to those that are open.

Yes, suppose that could be one reason; after all we were told that utility prices had gone up a considerable amount, hence the price increases overall for 2019.

Looking at the Altnaharra site which is £15 with or without electricity, is that a pricing error?

Yes, OP, been a couple of times. It was well run by volunteers when were there. There's a cycle track directly behind the site, the old railway like which links North Downs Way to the South Downs Way. We enjoyed our time there.

I didn't add all the ones that have a period where the price for 2 adults & pitch is £15 or below. This one is certainly a bargain with it's MWD.

No it's £10:50 pn. I just tried a booking on an economy pitch for 2 nights and it came to £21. So it would appear that there is a discount for no EHU of £4:50 pn.

Looks like the price from (£15) is incorrect?
