Hope you lot are well wrapped up today !!
Took my 'van in at 8:00 for service / M.O.T. and chose not to have Courtesy Car but to walk home instead -- 11:30 now & last icicle has just dropped off my fingers but at least it's dry so no slipping/sliding .
JVB when your heart monitor is removed check they shift all the adhesive bits as well !! They left two on my back & I wondered why the tee-shirt wasn't going on properly

A few years ago I had a Cardio Version to correct an irregular heat beat. The first person to welcome me into the theatre was a nurse brandishing a Bic razor! Had no idea they would want to shave my chest, at least they didn't wax it!!! I was left with square pink mark on my chest for weeks afterwards and it was itchy!!!

Another cold
day here at Loch Lomond but no rain fortunately. I went out today and done a lovely 30 mile cycle right up the side of the loch which was great its one of my favourite cycle routes and the views are beautiful. Now back at the van and the site hasn't filled up as much as expected I wonder if people have cancelled due to the weather. My sister and family are on site tonight too so think we are heading over to their van soon for a drink and a chat.

Enjoy your weekend Francis
Had my excitement for the day when my great niece let me have a go on her hover board. Despite the fact that I didn’t crash or fall off Mrs One won’t let me have one, something to do with not being seemly at my age😢😤

I like the idea of a hoverboard Oneputt...
Francis, hope it doesn't get too chilly up there but you probably have some nice scenery to look at from the comfort of your van, which side of the loch are you on? Sounds good to get away just now.

We are at Lomond Woods in Balloch Brue so right at the South West area of the loch. This site is only an hour from home for us so we come up here 6-7 times a year. The views are great we are very lucky to live so cliose to this area. Very cold tonight though but cosey in the van.

Envious of both Francis and Oneputt.🚵🏂
Had a nice afternoon stroll through the local squires estate. Came home and made a cracking Pea and Ham Soup, even I do say so myself. Perfect for a cold winters day.
Will walk into town tomorrow to pick up a library book.
Had a talk to the clubs travel department. We've booked a ferry for mid March and paid a deposit. After news of MIL's impending hospital visits I asked them if I can change the date even if we pay the full amount. No problem but a small admin charge plus, obviously, any increase due to dates so it gives us a bit of flexibility as we won't need to make a decision for about 8 weeks.

Moved on down to Wessington near Alfreton today to our first new CL of the year. Great views over the fields towards Wingfield Manor in the far distance.
Lovely area that you're stopping in Francis. Hope it doesn't get too cold up there.
Hope that the MIL's results are positive and that you are able to sort out a later trip to Spain, WN.
I've never tried a hoverboard, OP, but love to have a go. OH keeps saying that she'd like a turn on a Segway, but I doubt that she'll pluck up enough courage to do so.

Little bit milder here today the frost finally melted.
A trip into town to the charity shop to donate another box full of things. Then to the British Heart Foundation with a table lamp. A bit of food shopping then home for lunch.
This afternoon I set up my exercise equipment in the new attic room, I've got 3 weeks to get fit and loose weight before the cruise, wish me luck
Started sorting out my clothes for the cruise, don't think I will have to go shopping for anything
nellie, we both went on segways a few years ago when we were in Wales, had a great time, not sure about a hoverboard though
H&T, Brue and Millie don't you just love the way the kids just expect you to house all their belongings, our youngest did Art at Uni so we have boxes and portfolios of all his work.

Nell been on a Segway a couple of times in a Thetford Forest. Several different tracks to do, great instructors and a lot of fun. Mrs One thoroughly enjoyed it. 🌞

Took the caravan in for the axle inspection on Wednesday. Got a letter this morning saying that Bailey will replace the axle for us. I know many have had problems with this, so I am pleased we have a good result.
Great to hear so.e of you are able to get away. I guess we are still confined to quarters until the axle has been done.
I think this has been the longest period we have not been out in the van. First, my knee replacement and recovery, then Christmas, and now the axle! We haven't been out since August. Really looking forward to getting out in the caravan.

I didn't think OH needed to for our silver wedding commemorative cruise later in the year either but it didn't stop her coming home yesterday with a couple of new purchases.

Oh goodness tammygirl you have just reminded me that there is a portfolio of his A level art work under his bed at ours as well as the boxes!! He is 42 now!

TG and Millie. We've had that too but this time I handed over music sheets going back thirty years to primary school! Unbelievably daughter no 2 sat and looked at the scale books and discussed them with her musician partner. I have more for them to pour over soon....
We have an air frost today so bang go my camellia flowers that have been brightening up the view. Heaviest frost so far this winter, must get OH to check the van.
David, I hope it won't be long before your van is back on the road, pleased to hear Bailey recognised the fault.

Still keeping busy in DD's house, but did have 1st January off.
A milestone was reached on Thursday as they were able to move into their bedroom, though some of the wardrobes are still to be finished.
This will allow furniture to be moved into the living room they were occupying, and the study to be organised, which should allow the unpacking of several of the boxes lining the hallway.
I am now working on tiling their en suite, which will take several days, meantime the new bath is taking up space in their bedroom.
Getting there.......very slowly!
Caravan booked for annual service next month and holiday planning now possible. OH has already booked one Club site for late March, and one for late June. Others will be CLs or CCC sites.

Well the 'van passed it's M O T with flying colours yesterday, and the service didn't cost too much either. That means I might, only might, check out on any bits n bobs I can afford should I brave the M6 next month & head to the N E C once more

Yep! portfolio, work boards and boxes of 'arty' stuff, he's 41 this year.
In his defence he has moved about a lot since leaving Uni and his wife does not do possessions. If he had them at their house she would through the lot away
I can't bare to think of that happening so its still here.
Dry day for us and no frost overnight makes a change. Made a pan of soup this morning and ate most of it for lunch, it was nice Mmmm.
Christmas dec's are going to be put away properly in a wee while, they have been down for days but just dumped in a corner, so I'm going upstairs to do the job properly.
I didn't think OH needed to for our silver wedding commemorative cruise later in the year either but it didn't stop her coming home yesterday with a couple of new purchases.
Ah! I didn't say that I hadn't bought anything,
just don't think I'll need anymore
but you never know I still have 3 weeks left.

We got back this afternoon from our first trip away of 2019. We had 3 nights at Lomond Woods in Balloch it was very cold but I did manage to get out a nice cycle on Friday afternoon. It was raining when we were packing up this morning and very foggy on the way home luckily it is only an hours drive from home. The van is very dirty (more grey than white) but it was too cold to wash it today so will need to move it over next week at some point and clean it. Don't think we will be away again now for a few weeks as we have things on over the next few weekends.

Dry day again here but not a sunny one, still fairly chilly too.
Went to see Mum today, she was having a doze when we got there as she had been up very early this morning.
Back home for lunch after a bit of shopping, then later on a 30 min workout in the attic room
Eldest grand daughter coming to stay tomorrow before we take her back to school on Tuesday. Her other grand parents are picking her up from Edinburgh airport, she will stay with them tonight and then come to us tomorrow as they both still work. The 4 of us are a good team sorting her out between us

We’re home again tonight after an great weekend break. Nice CL (College Farm, Alkborough) just for a couple of nights, only just over an hour from home, but so nice to get away. Lucky with our weather as well, bit overcast until this morning, but we sat outside in sunshine for an hour today. Managed to fit in a good little interesting bike ride, and then a decent walk around bird hides down by Trent Falls outlet, where the River Trent meets the mighty Humber! Added bonus of being able to gaze at lovely Yorkshire across the Humber. Hoping to do a few more small little tours to take us into the Spring weather. All depends if we get any snow......

Nice, ttda.
Woke up during the middle of the night to hear a dripping noise coming from the bathroom. The temporary fix made to our shower just before Christmas seems to have only lasted until now, so it looks like a new shower is needed. Fortunately there is another in the house.

Just been looking at the amount of snow that has fallen in Austria
