Just returned from Moreton in Marsh.  New Years Eve, our first one on a club site, was a big success.

ET, you were just about right with your comments but not quite. The outcome was, there was wine and a small buffet provided plus quiz, raffle and music. Dancing would have been a little difficult in the marquees/gazebos erected by the wardens, it was a little intimate in places. wink

Just how they planned this to run so smoothly after a hard days work and then carry on form 9pm until after midnight was outstanding. To cater for so many people in such a small space was worthy of a medal. Everyone I spoke to yesterday thoroughly enjoyed the night.

If the wardens read this then a big thank you for a great evening.

Great news Harry, glad you are back and happy. Glad you had fun.

But I just wonder why this Club expects site managers to do everything from toilet cleaning to grass cutting and now act as party organisers. There are outside caterers available after all, and mobile bars and food vans.

    Club HQ penny pinching?

    Happy New Year to you.

I  understand all sites  are given a budget depending on size for "entertaining "

I heard that is the case.

There was no way they could have paid for that out of there own pockets. Their time was voluntary.

     Harry

Thanks for the feed back, glad you enjoyed it. Might be nice to put the info in a review as that way the Regional Manager will see you comments.
