Public safety threat- a wren?

Just read the list of birds which can be legally shot, unbelievable, disgraceful, dispicable!

Now I can see why efforts have to be made to clear runways of flying hazards, biological or otherwise but allowing Amber and Red Listed creatiures but killing them is just plain wrong. who makes these laws? They need 'shooting'!
