We had a non club site booking for Edinburgh over new year (Sat or Sun to Wednesday) however at the moment I am not 100% health wise and do not relish the journey (normally happy to drive 400 miles in a day towing). So we are looking for something within a 50/100 mile or couple of hours max radius of Huddersfield. Does not have to be a club site but must have electric hook up, decent toilets/showers and dog friendly. If it is near places of interest and/or towns that would be a plus. I am looking at club late availability however before committing to one of those just wondering if any Commercial/private/CL site gems we might otherwise miss?! I am also searching UKCampsites website.

Try this one flatcoat, we use it regularly in Winter. Ex CL that has grown,     a quiet site a couple of miles from Pickering on the Helmsley Pickering road. Both towns are lovely, the site has very clean, heated loos and showers, an honesty freezer, free WiFi, friendly owners, and a safe stroll for dogs, or longer walks if you fancy. Decent price compared with Club Sites as well. Lots to do and see on NY Moors. Hope it suitssmile
