Late night arrivals
I've been to a few sites that have Late Night Arrival areas, do all CAMC sites have them? Other than look at each individual sire plan is there any other way to find out? Is there a list of sites categorised by the facilities they have? I'm sure all CAMC sites have water, toilets, showers, EHU, chemical toilet disposal, etc but a list of facilities not found at all sites might be useful. The things I'm talking about are late night arrivals areas, dog walking area, or other facilities that some but not all members would use.

Also Stover, St Agnes, Marazion…
Then there’s Steamer Quay with no EHU at all.
Graymee, you don’t seem terribly familiar with club sites, tbh.

I stand corrected EasyT, I thought that one of the advantages of CAMC was you always got a set level of facilities and a toilet block was one of those. Anyway, back to my original question, is there a list out there you can search for sites with particular facilities without having to look at each site individually either online or in the handbook?

As LNAs are only for exceptional unplanned late arrivals I think you really only need to know if such circumstances arise. Likewise, on those sites which do not have them a call to site once you realise that your journey is not going to plan will help furnish you with the required information and instructions.

All the details of what is available at each site is in your handbook and on each site webpage Graymee. You can bring up a site map for reference as well, showing you layout. Looking on the map link, you can also use Satellite to see what is close by, how remote or built up the area is around each site. If you go to UK holidays link (top of page, towards left) click on Club Sites and there are categories showing different types of sites as well. Lots of different options. Hope this helps.

EasyT pointed out that my assumption that all Club Sites had toilets was wrong and I admitted that, I haven't visited the vast majority of Club Sites in my 2 years as a member. I asked 2 questions, "....Other than look at each individual sire plan is there any other way to find out? Is there a list of sites categorised by the facilities they have?". What followed was info that was irrelevant to the questions and in some cases just seemed to be "point scoring" until brue and JVB66 kindly contributed something useful.

I assume your interest in Late Arrival areas is not just academic but actually want to use them? I think it would be prudent to discuss your late arrival with each individual site as conditions of use might vary from site to site. By and large they there to accommodate people delayed unavoidably en route rather than a means providing an over night stopping point. Some sites may be better geared up to that sort of accommodation than others.

As David has pointed out the LNA areas are not for use as just a stopover, they are there to accomodate those who are booked to arrive at a site but because of problems on route miss the 2000 hrs "deadline" although a call, to the site, can, depending on the situation,at time allow a later arrival

I will endeavour not to respond to your posts in future, if I can remember, as you only want info from somebody prepared to hold your hand tightly rather than any additional knowledge.
If you want further help then do hesitate to ask. There's a good chap

EasyT I wasn't having a go at you. You rightly pointed out my assumption was wrong. I came here for info relating to the questions I asked and have no issues with the advice I've received however I do have an issue with others who, as I said earlier, appear just to be trying to score points.

Who is point scoring? I see no one fitting that description.
Oh, gee, Merry Christmas, one and all. 🙄

Hopefully!

I'm sorry to be one of those who disappointed you. However, you did express surprise at the fact that not all CAMC sites had toiletblocks. I therefore responded by naming 3 sites off the top of my head, to illustrate some of the sites which don't have toiletblocks. Not "irrelevant" or "point-scoring" IMHO, but a genuine response to your post. If you regard that as irrelevant and/or point-scoring then I'm afraid we'll have to differ on that.
I will leave it at this and not contribute further.

Yes, pardon me for being so unhelpful. It won’t happen again, rest assured.

Just a thought. Are late night areas used only when the member has booked, and are they counted in the total cost of the stay? Could someone simply turn up without a booking and use the late night area, and perhaps then decide not to stay longer than one night, or even be informed the site is full? Surely not?

They are outside any barrier, so I don't suppose there is anything stopping someone just turning up. However, as far as I am aware they are only intended for someone with a booking who is unexpectedly delayed. As to charge, I believe you pay the per person nightly rate but not the pitch fee.
