Hi fellow members ... I need a favour please. Left for home from longleat site on Monday 10th December around 1ish and mislaid my iPad. Stayed on pitch 23 by toilet block. I may have left iPad in ladies.  I would be grateful if any members there on the Monday could check everywhere that it hasn't been picked up by mistake or picked up and forgotten to hand in?  Feel so sad as photos of my brother are on it who died last year 😟.  A big ask of everyone but please feel free to share. Many thanks .

This isn’t the place for this type of post.  Have you contacted the site to see if it had been handed in?

Perhaps a mod will move this to the forum to help the poster.

I won’t ask why you took the Pad into the ladies but, as Oneputt said, you really should contact the warden. Had you not backed the Pad up to Cloud?

agree with DD, every apple device has the 'find iPhone' app pre loaded, even iPads.

with an iPhone linked by the same Apple ID, you should be able to locate any other device using the same I'd...provided (I think) that location services (GPS) is turned on...

    good luck.

I imagine the OP has contacted the wardens? I suppose it is possible that it was actually lost elsewhere and is it possible that it is still unfound? Would you have by any chance taken it into Longleat  to take photos of the Lightshow? If so it might be worth contacting them as well if you have not already done so. One would hope that any members finding it would hand it into the site staff. However if someone was keen on retaining it wouldn't they also return it to factory settings which might override "find iPhone"?  I have limited knowledge of iPads and only use one very occasionally but don't they save things like photos to iCloud which might mean you could access the photographs from another apple device?

    Hope you find it.

You can do it from a PC, Mac or other i device, One.

Brue's Link seems to cover it but it would pay to get your access to Cloud set up in advance if using a PC as dual factor authentication will be needed. Apple and Google between them will explain all.👍🏻

Don't think it's a good idea to speculate why anyone would take an IPad to the on-site Public Lavatory.

    wink

Ps - Hope you are successful in finding your Ipad.

I am sure the OP is upset enough with losing her iPad and I am sure won't appreciate a series of wise cracks about the circumstances. As you can see I have Deleted User those that don't help the situation.

I am not an apple fan or user however for the OP I believe ipad/phone/whatever back all images and documents up to the icloud so hopefully the pictures are safe and retrievable.

    Hello Julieboo

Really hope that by now you’ve got your iPad back. In case you haven’t - log into your Apple account on any other device and go to the ‘Find my  iPhone/iPad ' section. It will pinpoint exactly where it is.

    Best Wishes

Hi I appreciate the comments from folk but am new to this .  Longleat grounds were great as they did finally find cctv footage of me exiting the grounds to the club site.  I carried iPad with me at all times.  Once on club site a visit to the ladies before going to mh.. left iPad in error by sink as put down to wash hands! Forgot to pick up again.  So from 1235 to 1300 when I drove from site it was pretty clear somebody had stolen it as it was not handed in.  Did all I could with the police  the club site and head office and also asked someone with an apple device to try and block it.  Unfortunately within that 1235 to 1300 hrs on Monday 10 December somebody 100% stole my iPad. I'm sorry if this is not the place to have posted but was desperate for its return. Thanks everyone for help anyway. Much appreciated.

    Hi

Just logged in and thank you for your help.  No luck on iPad but there you go.  Bit sad that some people reacted differently.  A theft is a theft no matter where you are !  Precious photos are gone as I'm obviously not techy about iCloud and all that stuff.  Bit old school 😏but thank you anyway.  Also I thanked the club ... It's nobody's fault but mine for not picking it up but it would have been nice for the person to have handed in. 😊
