Prices of a pitch with or without awning?

Whether malicious or mischievous, the end result is the same as both can be tools used by trolls to achieve disruption and disharmony.

well the one behind it will have it's peg placed so the distance between its outer wall of a van parked there will be 3m (or more) from the rear of outfit on the that pitch.
That's way they introduced pegs to ensure that a van or MH is 6m apart wall to wall apart, or 3m car to awning/car

awning or non awning there is always a clear 3m (or more) spacing between parts of your outfit and the parts of an outfit on the next pitch, next to or even behind

Oh dear Oh dear Husky. Methinks you may be cruisin' for a bruisin'. I know that I am safe here 'cause I do the cooking.
On a similar note about the effects of aging on things (and people) our central heating oil boiler is in an inglenook in what was one a kitchen but is now a sitting room. 30 years ago I made (in an afternoon) a false rustic fire front. Having just replaced it following a service I can confirm that it has definitely put on weight.

I guess, looking at the photo with the pegs positioned as they appear this will ensure the caravans would be 3m apart corner to offset corner. If they were face to any face they would have to be 6m of separation.
Yes the fire 'guidance' was from the 60s but the club's blue pegs non awning pitches appeared only around 7 years ago.

every time you keep posting that and every time I post the link to the current guidance as given by various fire services and these are all issued in the last few years.
But I'm intimating you DD (and the say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery) and I'm not putting the link on this time

yes look on the site map here, Troutbeck Head it is number 111 (seriously not drawn to scale as you can see from the photo) you will see that there are no pitches right or left but one behind it which is why it is non awning.
By complete coincidence, as you can see all these NA pitches are empty, wonder why?

I've never worked out how rear walls are more fire-resistant than the sides.

they are not, hence the 6m separation from any wall to another, are you confusing the 3m gap between car/awning or car/car, awning/awning?
1 -
yes indeed, and there were plenty of MHs on awning pitches.
I suppose if you knew the site you would book one

Knowing, from this thread, folk book awning pitches even when never intending to errect one, the staff should suggest on arrival that motorhomers who have done this can choose from either A or NA. Afterall, some of the NA pitches are in good positions and some are in what a few would describe as prime positions. Obviously this could only happen if most NA pitches were not already booked out. Also the same would have to be offered to caravaners in the same position without awnings too.

Ah I see trying you were not giving the whole truth in your post then? Well now you have so let's move on?
well those fire services should be taken to task if what you saying is true. Are you suggesting that these professional fire services are just rubber stamping the data from almost 60 years ago? Personally I think not somehow. I mean it could now be shown that 6m is now not safe enough yet these fire services - the experts - are saying it is? I suppose it is who you believe at the end of the day?
Perhaps they looked at the data and found it to be still valid? Do you have any evidence to the contrary?
Still if you personally don't care about fire safety on site, or think the evidence behind it to be faulty then use sites where the guidance is not followed?

This is interesting if you look at the picture then go onto google map in satellite view and roughly measure the distance from where one peg is to the other then it is certainly over 6m and perhaps more from any part of a van and the one behind it.
Again very rough but perhaps the club have done their homework quite well

The bottom line is if you have an awning pay for it,if you want the electric pay for it, sevice pitch pay for it, if you do not want to subsidise everybody else use the commercial sector like me,most even charge for dogs and children, so in the end I only pay for what I want and nothing else, mind the free booking sevice for as many nights as you like priceless ,but only used for a back stop in case the weather is crap where I have booked.
