Morning all hopefully you can help.  I have been searching the bailey parts section for a part which is the plastic little door latch that allows the fridge to remain open when not in transit.  It has broken, so need replacement, but the website does not have a picture available so hard to identify and especially getting the name of the part right, it may be Freezer door trigger but as I cant see a picture not sure if right bit.  Hopefully I have explained it right, door latch on these freezers have a plastic sleeve if you like that can keep the door open a little to allow air to circulate and when your travelling you fold it back on the metal latch and the door closes.

Hopefully someone has encountered this broken bit on these fridges and be able to identify and call it the right name so I can order the right part. Prima leisure accessories sent me a link to a Door trigger, no pic costing 8.99 seem expensive for a piece of plastic unless of course it is the whole part metal latch and plastic shield?

Thank You

Tony Lyn

Ours broke soon after purchase (very poor idea) so we just open door and hang a tea towel over the top of the door to keep it from closing

I'm sure I've seen these at our local accessory shop.  It's not the best I've been to so I'm sure you'll find one in your area....

Otherwise don't bother with Bailey as they will add a surcharge like all manufacturers.  Get your local accessory shop to check their copy of the Grove Products catalogue and I'm sure you'll find it listed there.

I had same problem on the uprated Dometic catch on Bailey S3 2015

could not find one so resorted to plastic weld ( which is a solvent ) it lasted a while , then I ended up welding again and drilled a tiny hole across the crack and glued a length of panel pin through the break .stronger than the original .

leisure spares could source the catch complete over £40

some one surely will start supplying these

It’s very flimsy and hardly worth replacing I suggest. Many other ways of keeping the door open.
