I've just been looking at the club's new listing for MWD and when I selected the Dec listing it show that the discount applies to 4 sites and that the discount applies from "5 Nov - 20 Dec; 21 Dec - 2 Jan". However if one goes to the sites appropriate web page there's no discount applying over the 21 Dec-2 Jan date. Would one be within one's rights to claim the discount if one now books one of those sites? I very much doubt it!!

Yet another case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing!!

I also noticed between the 23rd April and 23rd  May they stop it for one night. The bank holiday on Monday the 6th. It hardly seems worth it. When we have been on site on that Monday night, most folk have left from their long weekend, to return to work on Tuesday and the site is deserted. It is of couse also priced at full peak.☹️ So for Cirencester the price for two adults goes from £29.50 (Monday night) to £20.40 (Tuesday night)

    Hi Nelliethehooker,

I have asked our Digital Team to check this out as I can see this is case for both White Water Park and Pembrey Country Park. As soon as I hear back I will let you know the outcome.

    Kind Regards

    Tracy

If you did get the MWD would it be off the "Ordinary" midweek pitch price or off the "The Rip Off/Christmas" midweek pitch price? (thus bringing it down to near the standard rate for that pitch).undecided. Rhetorical question folks.

Thanks, Tracy. It also appears to apply to Ferry Meadows and Clumber too.

It's not as if I'll be using those sites over the "The Rip Off/Christmas" period, but many others will and I bet some would like to benefit from the discount, or perhaps even extend their stay if a pitch was available.wink

Not MW discount, but whilst looking at the Lidalia site, the "From" price is stated as £9.40.  Wow, I thought, that sounds (too) good (to be true)!  And yes, it is;  on working out prices for 2 adults in early December, the cheapest rates, it's actually £19.00.  Not sure where the £9.40 comes from, it's not as though the initial figure 1 has been omitted, and should have been £19.40, I can still add up 2 x £6.30 + 1 x £6.40 and make it £19.00, not £9.40 wink

    Hi nelliethehooker

I have heard back from our Digital Team and the website has now been rectified to show the mid week discounts at Pembrey Country Park and White Water Park sites.

I've now also asked them to rectify the prices for Ferry Meadows and Clumber Park sites.

    Kind Regards

    Tracy

Not sure I should be thanking you Tracy, as no doubt the correction has resulted in the MWD being dropped for the 21 Dec- 2 Jan dates. So cheers. instead.wink

    Edit.

I've just looked and the 21 Dec-2 Jan are still showing on the Mid Week Discount page.

Another case of one hand not knowing what the other one is doing I wonder?

    Hi

I can confirm the MWD hasn't been dropped from the 4 sites that are shown for December 2018 so that is why they are still showing.

The price lists for all 4 sites have been rectified to show the discounted pitch fees. Ferry Meadows and Clumber Park will show tomorrow as the fix has only been put in place today so it will update at midnight. If you book either site though for the dates with the discount this will show on your booking from today.

I would like to thank you for highlighting the issue and allowing us to get it rectified.

    Happy Touring

    Tracy

Thanks, Tracy. It will be good news for those that are on those sites over the Christmas period. I presume then that all that have booked and are expecting to pay the full price will have the discount included in their charges when they arrive and pay for their stay.

If minimum nights on some sites were to be considered for week ends probably midweek discounts should be offered alongside these.

I not sure I can really see any logic in that. The weekends are popular and Friday, Saturday and Sunday are not covered by a discount for that reason. The weekdays at several sites are not so popular and hence the mid week discount. It would not make financial sense to include more popular sites in the scheme.

Putting aside discounts,  I can't see the logic of minimum nights as our club is a network of sites. Maybe if this was ever considered the minimum nights would include consecutive nights on several different club sites for members.
