Tacky Site Plaques

Never felt excluded prior to the name and livery change, would prefer they spent the 'Rebranding money' (twice in less than 10 years) on something more tangible, like buying the freehold of some of the vulnerable smaller leased sites. Like lovely Wenlock Edge. Now sadly gone.
Dark Green to Light Green now Maroon, bet the Signage alone cost more than a couple of small sites.
Back to the original point of the thread, yes my wife collects the plaques..dont know how many we have but about 70 or so.Sadly quite a few from now closed sites.

Odd that you should be lost. It surely is a matter of very basic general knowledge that some people enjoy collecting things. It is such a shame that there's always someone ready to denigrate and belittle others - not just with this post but in your sarcastic responses to others who have pointed out the positives.
I collect the site plaques and have them going back to the 1980s. It is a tangible reminder of the sites I have visited and I am wholly unabashed by having secured one at every first visit to a site. Indeed I would be bothered by any calamity that might result in their loss.
It is obvious to anyone that the club would not offer them for sale were they not somewhat popular. Unless things have changed, I recall that the CCC, that you pointedly refer to, sell pennants. I didn't collect those in the days when I used their sites because they were too big and cumbersome to keep.
For what it is worth I don't like the new plaques or the rebrand. The logo is amateur and there is uncertainty about the main colour - maroon/white (the polo shirts look ridiculous with green trousers) or that turquoise blue used on some of the signage. As a motorhomer, I remember ringing the club when I first joined around 30 years ago to ask if they accepted motorhomes. It is hard to imagine anyone had to do that in the last ten years or so and including the word motorhome was unnecessary. if it was going to be done it should have been done years ago! Now was too late for it to matter.

TG that most of this post is light hearted banter. Basically if you want to collect a plaque then collect it; if you don't, then don't! Who cares if the design has changed? Just because vans don't change, i.e. they still leak, doesn't mean plaques can't

For those who want to continue/complete their collection of the traditional green site plaques, there are plenty on e-bay.
