How the other half live

...but obviously it isnt....or there wouldn't be the criticism.
we use Travelodge quite a bit, they're nice enough and all over the place, but we also like a good proper hotel from time to time...
good to have a bit of variety.
it's the same with our 'camping'.
when en route, i 'camp' occasionally in Aires/carparks but those who do often get berated by the 'couldn't possibly, how could you' brigade...
now we have the same opinion ('how could you possibly....') when choosing to to use a facility at the other end of the spectrum...
like our hotel choices, im happy to try all modes of our 'hobby'....
perhaps some are only happy with vanilla and nothing but a bland, mid quality CC site will do...

M, it's obviously got that 'je ne sais quoi'
I believe they are building more pitches as demand was high when we were there...
yes, at £40 a night (when we were there) it's a bit more expensive than a club alternative but we wanted to try it and we are glad we did. it's a very nice site.
im sure you'd like it too
i don't do site reviews....the website gives a very good idea of what you'll find.
nor do I need to 'justify' why I chose to go there....
nothing I could mention (however much it appealed to me) would encourage you to go as our opinions usually differ

aw, where's your spirit of adventure?
im sure there's plenty of reviews you could go by if you really wanted to.
as I said....you were never going to consider it.....whatever I posted..

lol +1 there
perhaps for BB this is one of those sites that we club goers are just not "savvy" about

Corners, why not give it a try next time you're down this way...?
wonderful washrooms, huge pitches, lots of space, only 15 pitches when we visited, quiet site, amenable hosts, great location (but not for DK), no best pitch.....and 'class'....
ah yes, you were right, nothing that would interest you...
we went because 'we wanted to try it', something a bit different in an area we like...no more....
result, glad we did as we enjoyed it...that's my recommendation.
i can't say more than that, we felt it was worth trying...
perhaps some of the 'knockers' might be brave enough to try something a bit different?.....somehow, I doubt it.

+1 😇 There are a number of reasons why we would probably consider a visit , the main one being ......because we have the choice to go , price doesn't really dictate our booking agenda .
To some of the freeloaders out there , any car park with toilets .....would be just as desirable ......but that would be their choice .... wouldn't it 😎

hey I was just paraphrasing your post where you once said that both clubs were full of people who weren't savvy enough to know there was better sites out there (that was you wasn't it BB?)

well it appears funny to me that once those liking club sites were called timid for not wanting to go to cheaper sites and how they should try it and find they might like them, not it's timid not to go to more expensive sites (almost more than double) and try those as might like them?
I guess it's just a case of go anywhere but club sites for some?

"perhaps some of the 'knockers' might be brave enough to try something a bit different?.....somehow, I doubt it."
Oh dear, there's that word "brave" cropping up again, and I assume by "knockers" you mean anyone questioning your views? As a matter of fact we've been "brave" enough to try several types of site, BB - two of them in your neck of the woods - Waterrow Park at Wiveliscombe and The Old Oaks at Glastonbury. Both perfectly pleasant sites in areas we wanted to visit, but putting shower/toilet facilities aside (how long does one actually spend in there? ), not significantly different to club sites and more expensive.

yes +1 there M

keep up....I said I don't do site reviews...I have my opinion here as I was asked (nicely)....
i said I liked the site and enjoyed my stay, is any more needed?

'putting shower/toilet facilities aside'.....I thought that for many, this was an integral part of what does or doesn't make a good site? otherwise, what is different than any other non facs site or stopping place?
'putting shower/toilet facilities aside'.....here's a great site we will be stopping over at on our next trip south...

Possibly, any CMC car park with toilets sites might suit, but I don't bother to use CMC sites any more. I've made a point of discovering where the excellent small and larger picturesque private campsites are situated both here and on the continent.

I did enlighten those who wish to be enlightened on the previous page
you were probably too busy prattling to notice

Brian, it won't be long before club sites cost £40 a night for a couple...

Please read my post again I didn't mention anything at all about CMC sites or their sites being like car parks .👍
Perhaps spec savers is an option .
Freeloaders tend to use ….well anywhere that's free.😜

Bb remember your post on not putting people down

are those (car drivers) that park in free car parks, freeloaders?
are those who park their MH in free Aires, freeloaders?
I thought freeloaders were folk who got into a cinema, museum, concert or other normally 'paid for' facility without paying....not those who make use of a facility which is free to everyone?
terminology, perhaps?

putting down.....'prattling'?.....come on, get real. I can do far better than that if you like
how would you describe JVB's posts when it's obvious what his MO is...?
