GD afternoon, sorry not responded sooner was out checking for illegal MH'ers, only 1 today but as it turned out it was a local who had fallen asleep in his camper reading the news paper, the cup of tea and half eaten bacon buttiee was a bit suspicious, but all ok he bought it at the shack
I know West Bay very well, i cant for the life of me think why people would want to park up on the road when there are so many great camping sites in the area, some cheap and some not so, depending on which type of pitch you opt for, Highlands End and Freshwater Beach spring to mind, stayed at both, great location great mix of facilities, ok crowded during July/August, grandchildren love Freshwater...Free Loaders ???

Is it just MHs you object to, Rufs? I’m wondering how you would feel about coaches or horse boxes or HGVs.🤔

You don't want to get stuck down in Gosport with a ferry to catch, AD. Better off on the B2177 on the top of Portsdown hill where you can watch your ferry coming.

So it’s not just MHs you’re against but any large vehicle even if it parks legally overnight. 🤔
Somewhat off topic but that brings to mind something I saw on TV the other day. It concerned a landowner who gave some of his land to be developed for affordable housing. The completed road was called Imby Close. In My Back Yard - what a refreshing change.👍🏻

There is no question of parking on the road mentioned in the OP blocking anyones view as it is backed by Titchfield Haven wildlife sanctuary. I pay FBC council tax just like Rufs and I have no objections to casual overnighting. There just needs to be a 48 hour max limit or some such to prevent the establishment of a permanent "village". Pure nimbyism IMHO.

well i did'nt actually say that, i said i would be annoyed if they were parked in front of my property all the time, well it is not about to happen as i live in a very small cul de sac, where i have to use the caravan mover to get it onto the land next to my bungalow end of
