Has anybody thought it might have been the warden having a bit of a laugh at JB's expense, and that really there was no real substance to his remarks, why else would he have just vanished into the loo's without first ensuring you had moved your car, "mountains out of molehills"

In fairness to EasyT, I thought that was just a tongue in cheek remark made to illustrate the frequent requests (almost demands) from one or two to make changes to suit their individual requirements. Without wishing to be described as "a defender of the faith" I have to say that I've never experienced that sort of rudeness from any warden and in the vast majority of cases they are polite and helpful  and the general experience on club sites, is more than satisfactory. smile

And very many do, when they realise after a short time that it is far from the job that that they think it when looking at it from the site users perpsective wink

Yes I did consider that the warden might well have been 'sharing' a joke.

I have been, in my previos employment advised that not every one had my  sense of humour and now with the growth of the "snow flake society"I think it would go even higher over their headswinkcoolsurprised

Funny enough the last time (and only time i can remember) of 'getting on the wrong side of a Warden' concerned a mix up over arrival times.

Site was Chatsworth, which we hadnt visited for 10 years or so, I was driving down the long entrance driveway at 12.40 pm  under the impression that earliest arrivals was 12.00. Which most are.

I  saw a motorhome pulled up in front of me opposite a passing place halfway down the drive, no-one in front of him, so I overtook him at walking pace (yes, 5mph)   then I heard the shout......OI YOU !   I dont answer to such shouts, so drove on to reception and parked behind the car and caravan who were already booking in. Then a breathless Warden comes up as I was going into reception saying ' didnt you see me/ hear me ? I was telling you to stop'

Didnt see you, but certainly heard you.....and I dont answer to 'OI YOU'  not, since I left the Army thankyou.    He was obviously angry, but I kept my temper, and answered politely, while he blustered about  blocking the entrance, Which I hadnt.

Couldnt tell you if he was young or old,  when I checked the club book, I saw that entry was 13.00pm ,  So i was 20 minutes early not 40mins later than earliest , hardly a hanging offence. But I probably wont go back for another 10 years....hate these busy 'honeypot sites' .

In answer to your question ------ A definite NO.

Quickly vanishing into the Loos would describe somebody who realised he had been abusive to a lady and hence scared that the husband might return and deal with him.  ------ A bully and a Coward! !

    cool

Quickly vanishing into the loos could denote a man on a mission and you have absolutely no idea whether the warden was intentionally abusive or was making a throwaway craic that was taken other than the way in which it was intended.

Doesn't mean you can't jump on any of the passing bandwagons though but do remember to take your wooden spoon.

I keep an open mind DD unless I am present to rely on my own judgement. I know that my other half is capable of taking things in the wrong way.

Must be something about Chatsworth! That is the only site that I have pulled out the sticker that tells how many years membership and told the ignorant warden that I help pay your wages!!!!!After that incident which was probably late 80,s early 90,s I avoided club sites until last year!
