    I was referring to the constant scaremongering in the press about potential delays at French customs.....

    We have a trip planned to Italy & Cuba next year so I'm not particularly worried about the French....!

    But perhaps the "4 or 5%" are worried..........?

    "Forward bookings were down between 4% and 5% from some of its regular customers, the company said".

    But the other 96% have perhaps got all the time in the world anyway....?

    Did you mean to post this on here or was it intended for the Brexit/ next years bookings thread? 

    I think if AT have forward orders and are still in profit they are hopefully just future proofing their production plans.

    I always buy Michelin tyres and don’t think they are too expensive when I get so many more miles out of them.   I recall some years ago, I towed a moonstone caravan with a Volvo 240 and got over 48,000 miles out of my Michelin tyres (on the Volvo)!

    The next will be the Honfleur in 2019-she appears on the timetable already-and then two more-Galicia and Salamanca-Chinese built and leased, in 2021 and 2022. 

    Total cost to BF reported to be £400 million.This may seem at odds with how the post Brexit future is  portrayed, not least by BF recently regarding bookings, so the following may surprise some;

    We managed to trade with the world before the European Union/Common Market,  whatever, and I'm very sure & confident that we will when the dust settles.

    A lot of scaremongering, often led by people who should try & remain proffesional or at least silent, but if companies like AT, Brittany Ferries etc can hang on in through the rocky patch I'm very sure the future will be rosy.....laughing

    Some Euro 5 diesel engines carry a very low road tax because of their improved emissions.   My vehicle is a 2017 Euro 6 diesel, and has an Ad Blue tank.  This Ad Blue is supposed to convert the nitrous oxide in the exhaust into harmless nitrogen and oxygen.   It has to be topped up periodically and, if allowed to run out, the engine just will not run.   I would have thought Euro 5 Diesel engines could be upgraded to have the Ad Blue tank and ancillary parts fitted.  There will be some very expensive vehicles with Euro 5 Diesel engines around in 2022 - not to mention some of them being motorhomes.

    Or is the world going mad?  On the news today, in order to reduce methane to help control global warming, it is being proposed that beef and sheep herds should be severely reduced to help achieve this.
