So many discussion options that I am not sure if this is the right one

But here I go. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a GOOD quality 13 pin electrics plug i.e. one that will not spin out of sequence, become jammed, go rusty or fall into two halves when connected to the car? I'm one my third plug with this van and have had all the above problems.

Mine came joined to the caravan in 2007 when I bought the Eriba. I will go out in the morning and see if there are German words on it.

When I converted my previous caravan to 13 pin plug from 12N & 12S plugs I bought it & the cable from Sargent. No problems with either.

If you are on your third plug then maybe you should be looking at replacing the socket rather than the plugs. Is the socket making it difficult to turn? causing undue stress of the plug.

I have a bog standard non descript make, and turned correctly has never failed in the 5 years I have had 13 pin.

I use a little plastic gizzmo that ensures that the pins are correctly aligned.....it cost only a couple of bob. Have you tried spraying the socket with a silicon lubricant to make the joining up easier?

A 'couple of bob' ...... that'll be abut 10p. Will that still buy a Fredo chocolate bar? 😁

I am on my second 13 pin plug, the first one, fitted by Bailey on my 2015 caravan, fell apart after 18 months. The replacement, kindly supplied free by my dealer, has now completely seized. The rotating part and the static part seem almost welded together (both plastic). This has resulted in me not being able to remove from the socket by hand. I had to use a wrench to get the thing to rotate. This seems totally wrong to me as I wouldn't have thought plastic components needed lubrication! Can any one recommend a fool proof version of a a 13 pin plug?
