closed cell tape for window

Hi,

I am new to DIY on caravans and have a problem with the rear window on our Elddis Whirlwind 2000. I need to reseal the window as the sealant has hardened and is letting water in. Research suggests I need a sealant tape and a caravan sealant that does not harden (this I have). 

But before taking the window out to do the work, how can I tell what size tape to buy? I notice that there are various widths and it seems if its too wide its a pain to trim down and if its too narrow it gets tricky fitting multiple pieces.

    I have seen videos on you tube demonstrating how to do this job and what to use. Hope this helps you.

    thanks Mitsi - I looked at some good ones - but could not find anything that tells me what width tape I need to buy.

    Maybe have a word with the service department at your local Elddis dealer?
