Just had a reminder email re a forthcoming trip to Rowntree Park York. The latest departure time is now 11:00, it used to be 11:15. Not sure when this changed. Will this be a trend for other sites?

With a new hotel going up next door there will be more traffic around the entrance so perhaps the club are adjusting the times to ease potential problems with extra vehicles departing and arriving in the same area?

It was still 11:15 when we left on Friday , plus signage still says the same , and we were not told otherwise. We were there for 3 days and the noise was not to bad at all , the wardens leaf blower made more of a din.

I can't see any strength in that. The local authority can't have seen extra traffic as an issue in the hotel planning application

I'm only thinking the present building works traffic (are they starting to fit out now?) might be adding to the early departure reasons the club states in it's site leaflet "to avoid congestion in the narrow local roads." It's of no consequence to me personally, the difference in the 15 mins perhaps stops people delaying departures further and then meeting the early arrivals, which certainly start queuing in large numbers before 12pm.  smile

is 15 minutes extra really that much of a problem?

I can't see it becoming a trend though?

    It's not 15 mins extra, it's 15 mins less!
