I just wanted to share with you the great news that from Friday 1st March 2019 our Cheddar Caravan Club Site will be open year round, allowing members to enjoy this particularly scenic part of the country throughout the four seasons.

I hope that some of you will be able to benefit from having Cheddar open all year and wanted you to be the first to know. Happy touring! smile

I think people will enjoy Cheddar being open all year round, especially around Christmas when there are lots of events going on locally and at nearby Wookey Hole and Wells. Look out for music etc in Wells cathedral and book early! Also the local Somerset illuminated carnivals in November which are spectacular.  (Keep eating the cheese ABM, especially Wookey Hole cheddar, you can see it maturing in the caves...) smilesmilesmile

Great news as we used to live in Somerset, good walks on the Mendips and as Brue said a lot of things to do in the area and not to far from Clarks shopping village for folks who like shopping.

    Good news.

Maybe they can now plan on updating the shower block which is looking and acting dated.

More sites should be staying open all year, lease conditions notwithstanding.

It's no good getting excited. It's in locked cages.

It's also a good area for several RSPB sites and the visiting birds in winter will be worth a trip out.

The National Trust owns the north side of Cheddar Gorge and the Longleat Estate own the south so expect some different experiences on  each side.

So at the moment you could choose between "beware of the ghosts" or "beware of the goats"....wink
