Winter Covers for vans

What is the general consensus on using winter covers, good idea or not?

    A Motorhome is a motorised vehicle and will benefit from being used regularly. Not necessarily to stay in but to get out on the road and put a few miles under its belt in order to keep things running as they should. 

    Will you be happy to remove and replace the cover every couple of weeks or so?

    I think unless you have to store your motorhome under trees I cannot see the point of covering a motorhome or even a caravan. As TW says better to use it. I would just give it a good polish at least once a year and clean it as necessary.
