Campsites near to Luton

We are just getting back into the Motorhome way of life after a break of 20 years! We wonder if anyone can recommend a campsite, that would be open in November, near to Luton? A short taxi ride away would be fine, say ideally no more than 5 miles or so? We are attending a graduation ceremony and don't want to take our  van into town. We are not too fussy about the campsite facilities.

    There's a CL with H/S but no electrics about 6 mls away.

    If you get stuck finding somewhere nearby the club site at Ashwell is about 20 miles away and is open all year.

    If I had a Motorhome I would use the Search for Sites website to pick up pub stopovers for motorhomes. It 's showing me two pubs called The  Fancott and The Plough, both offering meals, and where motorhomes can stop overnight - both about 6 miles from Luton,  and so should be within range of a taxi ride.

    there's a massive site in Luton with loads of pitches and easy access to facilities via walkways, great road down the middle but watch out for oncoming traffic, could be a bit noisy though. haha. laughing
