Seacroft club site at East Runton
I believe this is a somewhat new addition to the the Club's site portfolio.
Has anybody stayed there, and if so, was it good or bad?.
By bad, I refer to the fact that it has a bar. Does this means social drinkers, or late night noisy boozers?
My wife and I want the spend a couple of days visiting Blickling, and Felbrigg Hall's in Norfolk (we are NT members).
As such ideally located sites are the club sites at Ingleborough Fields, and Seacroft. Ingleborough Fields should be quite civilised , not having a Bar etc, but is a mile walk to the nearest eatery, if we wanted to have a evening meal out. My wife might find the walk there and back, hard going.
Seacroft seems much better placed, being only a 5 min walk to the local Spar shop, and also has a an eatery on site.
I'm thinking that now that the school holidays are over, it should be reasonably quiet, especially as we would be going mid-week.

I don’t think it’s particularly new to the club, Dave. Check out the site reviews to get a feel for the place.
There are a lot of CLs and commercial sites in the area if you want something else and a C&CC site if you’re a member.

I need to catch up with where the club is at now, as although a member for 20 years prior to 2009. I have only just returned to caravanning, albiet now with a mho, and rejoined the club. I don't remember Seacroft being a club site back then.
We were also members of the C&CC for those 20 years, but if using club sites, we always preferred the CC sites, and they were consistent in quality, whereas this was not always the case with the C&CC sites. Elsan points could vary from very good, to sometimes quite crude. On CC sites you could pick your pitch, form what was available.
That said we always preferred to go out with the local C&CC DA, as opposed the CC ones, and having experienced one CC National Rally, it was a 'no brainer' to always go to C&CC NFOL.
We have not yet decided to rejoin the C&CC.
I'll do a bit more research on Seacroft TW. Maybe someone here will have stayed there.

Dave, as with CAMC, C&CC have an upgrade program for their sites and I can think of a few, even within my limited experience, that have had major refurbishments in the last few years. Don’t let old memories put you off and you can check out the sites on their website.

A bit late in the year for us now TW, but maybe for next year.
We have never been all year round campers, as have never seen the fun in sitting in a caravan or mho, in the winter months, when we have a nice comfortable house.
We will often go off on a holiday, or cruise to somewhere warm🙂

I’m with you on not going away in the van in winter. That’s the time when Cornwall is quiet and we can get out to see places without hordes of people around.

We get emmets in Cornwall. Grockles visit the other side of the Tamar😄.
We will, all being well. Thanks.

Each to their own, WN.
There’s nothing I want to get away from as I live within spitting distance of the sea in peace and quiet so winter is the time to enjoy my home county. If I lived in a noisy city, I may well feel differently.

Seacroft was previously a commercial site before being purchased by the Club. We have been a couple of times. It has a good bus service from immediately outside the gate and Cromer is certainly within walking distance so ideal for motorhomers who may wish to leave their outfit on site. We have been there twice in the last few years and find it very handy to have the restaurant on site. We go out of the main season and it seems just like a standard Club site just with more features. However it is popular so you need to plan your booking. Some pictures here to give you an idea of what its like. http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/seacroft_caravan_club_site.html

I left the big city (London), and moved to the country 33 years ago, to enjoy village life, and you wouldn't drag us back to a city, or town now.
We live in Constable Country, not far from Flatford Mill, and Dedham Vale, and only a 20 min drive to the sea. Perfection ☺
Like you TW, we get lots of tourists in the summer months, but peace and tranquillity returns in the winter.
We might not go camping in the winter months, but it doesn't stop us getting out and about, in the fresh air. Lots of that around here ☺

We are of one mind, Dave.
I’ve been to Flatford Mill while staying at C&CC Polstead. 👍🏻

Just to point out that Incleboro Fields is pleasantly situated and is just a short walk from places to eat, about half a mile to the village pub and a short stroll to a nearby hotel. However if you have walking difficulties Seacroft is indeed within easier reach of on site eating and drinking facilities.

Seacroft is a lovely site, we have been several times in the last 5 years at various times of the year. Not sure what your idea of rowdy drinkers is but I have never seen more that half a dozen people at at time in the bar, certainly not a late night noisy place.
Location of the site is lovely nice walk either direction to some lovely eating places.
Give it a try I'm sure you will not be disappointed

Do 'emmets' morph into 'grockles' as they cross the Tamar? Is there any visible evidence of this transformation?

Re the comment about the nearest eatery being a mile from Incelboro Fields, have to say, that whilst I’ve never measured it, I have walked it numerous times. Doubt it is a mile, although as it’s such a big site, does depend where you start from!

Evolution or devolution, emmets to grockles or grockles to emmets. . . .Who knows🤔🤔
