A strange topic subject on a caravan forum I know. Let me explain. I am feeling very pleased with my self today not being the greatest at D I Y. Caravan toilet was not flushing. Did the obvious and checked the fuse which was fine. That left me stumped. I was about to bite the bullet and pay someone to fix it thinking it needed a new pump when I thought take a look on youtube. Watched a couple of videos and saw the probable cause and how to fix it. Off to the storage I went and job done in ten minutes.

The moral of the story is that if you don't know something there is a good chance that someone has filmed it and posted it on you tube. Take a look.coolcool

Well done MF! Ironic post actually. I was debating on another thread about how much Technical information the Club should offer. My bias was based upon the fact that almost anything could be Googled nowadays, often with photos or a video! Case proven I think, glad it worked for you.laughing

You Tube - or similar -  is even better if you have a tablet and can keep the tablet in sight as you work. Good post, Mitsi.

The club has it's own YouTube pages but only offers small amounts of information, mostly holidays ideas etc. I find YouTube very useful for lots of things.

Couldn’t agree more. I have fixed my domestic dishwasher, fridge and sorted my Peugeot boxer ‘change oil’ light (which came on after 2000 miles). Researched how to install my MH fridge fans. I always check YouTube first when I am stuck or researching, great resource.

No matter how good you think you are at doing something, there's a 7 year old on YouTube doing it better!

Even if You Tube doesn't give you the answer, Googling the problem can raise further information.
