Looking for advice

We have a dog who is terrified of traffic. Looking for recommendations for sites in Yorkshire or Cumbria where there is a decent dog walk or land next to the site which we could use. We need electric hookup and it would be good if it had hardstanding but not essential. I asked for suggestions a few months ago and did get some replies. We have visited some of these sites which were exactly what we were looking for. But if you have visited a site this year which you think might be suitable I'm sure our dog Bramble would be very grateful.

Have you looked at Carlton Grange, near Helmsley. Well away from any roads, although there will be plenty of sheep about and only grass pitches. Plenty of footpaths from the site.

High Farm CL near Helmsley would be good for your dog. At the end of a no through road that leads into a bridle way. The only traffic is for the farm. Lovely views too.

We're currently on a CL near Pateley Bridge, called Firtree. In the 2 hours since returning there has been 3 cars go by on the road outside. You don't hear any at night. CL is sloping and does have some hardstanding. Owners has land at rear where they would probably allow you to walk the dog but there are sheep about.

Site is very peaceful and owners a delight.

Thanks for your replies. We do use Firtree a wonderful site which is ideal for Bramble. The other sites look good so we'll give them a go in the coming months.

Ashfield Caravan Site CL, has a dog walk adjacent, Lockton near Pickering

Scar Close, dog walk on adjacent NT land, Hudswell near Richmond.

Rectory Farm, huge dog walk on site, Barmston just South of Bridlington

Branwood CL, dog walk along fields and tracks, Bempton near Bridlington

Hartendale Farm, dog walk across fields and tracks, Flamborough.

All brilliant with dogs, and great CLs. Vary according to facilities available, but all have hook up.

Not in your area but excellent for you and canine friend is  High Onn Club Site. It is in Staffordshire near Weston Park. Has the biggest dog walk i have seen and by choosing the right pitches you would have no cars going by you. Lots of things to do in the area.
