So sad to hear the news of Aretha Franklin's grave illness. One of music's all time greats and a wonderful advocate for racial harmony.

Hope all true music lovers will "say a little prayer" for her tonight.

    I read this a couple of days ago. Sadly just seen she's passed away. 😢

    Yes - I've just checked and found that she has passed away.  She was one of the greats in music.

    She didn't look at all well in the most recent photographs so, you're right moulesy, I think, sadly, it was expected.

    Gosh- she was great in Blues Brothers - slippers an all !!

    But she was Great - full stop. !!
