This link shows how to fit the new style adaptor

If it were me and want run of your gas point and still have the possibility of running off gas bottle.   I would get one of these

Connector and some jubilee clips   Cut the pipe and attach the male end on the pipe to the Weber and the female end to a regulator   That way you can use a small gas canister, gas bottle or the gas point on your vechicle

Ps the link to the connector is for illustration and they are cheaper elsewhere.

The major problems that I  and many others have in general with regards any BBQ is the users.who incinerate all sorts of obnoxious smelling "food"? without noting that the wind is blowing in the wrong direction 🤔

Yes, this is the adapter that I bought. Simplest solution to connect to the BBQ point is to chop of the regulator and fit the motorhome connector BUT the hose is very short and you may not wish to use the BBQ that close to the motorhome hence my solution which I agree is a bit complicated.

The problem is that if you undo the patio gas regulator from the Weber hose adapter you are left with a 3/8 inch female left hand thread nut and I found it impossible to source a “male to gas hose connector” but you can buy a female to hose connector hence you need the male to male adaptor. Hope that makes sense, A hose connector and jubilee clips also works but not as secure.

Weber are making it very difficult to use other than their proprietary connections and at £40 that’s a bit steep.

    Hi

I’m new to motorhoming, so hope someone can help me.

Have got an Adria Coral 660 and it has a bbq point (see pic) and I would like to know what I need to buy to connect it to the Cadac Safari Lite bbq that I’ve bought.

Its a Truman gas tap and the gas system is Gaslow lpg.

    Thanks

This looks to be a standard BBQ point as fitted to caravans and motorhomes. Usually it comes with your outfit. Not sure what they call the “male” end but it is a cylindrical shape about 3 cm long which will click into place when you push it in and to release you push back the outer sleeve. You should be able to get it at any accessory place or on eBay.

DD - I know you got a load of canisters in your deal - but if you're interested, I have just bought a pack of 6 x 500gm Coleman canisters from Amazon for £20 - and they fit the Weber Q series.  Fraction of the price of the Weber canisters.

I don't think you'll have a problem.  I've used ours in quite windy conditions with no difficulties.  Once the lid is down, there's virtually no way the wind can blow the burner out.

Always cook with the lid down on a Weber or similar BBQ. Seal the outside on highest temperature then cook each side with the lid closed.

I think our Q has blown out once in about 12 years.  There is a mesh at the begining of the burner tube this is where the gas and air mix, this does give protection from wind, but if it gets wet it can cause the flame to burn yellow and a bit smokey, remember Bunsen burners at school.
