Families these days want to be entertained and lots of things to do, C&MC campsites don't have what they want and I'm very grateful for that.
Both our boys grew up with caravans and tents, they would like to holiday with their children using campsites but their wives want foreign holidays, hotels, swimming pools and someone else to make the beds, cook the meals and do the dishes.
The girls both work and want a 'holiday' so next week 1 family is off to Tenerife and the other family is off to a Greek island.
Me I love the caravan/MH as I'm not keen on hotels, but I would like the C&MC to sort out their peak pricing, we in Scotland are getting squeezed at both ends of the summer holidays and it ain't fair.

If you caravan or motor home with youngsters it generally means you're into the outdoors - walking, exploring and finding places to visit that offer other types of activities when required. Centre Parcs are NOT cheap only thing included is the pool I'm informed everything else is an extra, so very costly.
There are sites that provide entertainment and pools but they are not club sites or CL's
Well said. We did not take our kids away to be entertained whilst we relaxed. We went away for family time and after a day out we spent time together.

We had foreign holidays ...... never wanted to use the swimming pools much as we all preferred the sea.
When away in the caravan I did all the cooking (same as much of the time at home)!

I referred earlier to CCC Temporary Holiday Sites.
I have just met a couple at the THS at Stow on the Wold (Cotswolds) who are doing exactly what you wish to do.
Since leaving home near Inverness they have stayed on THS in Perthshire, Corbridge (near the Roman Wall), Whitby, Bridlington and Stow. Today they were moving to Bradford on Avon and may continue to Dorset and Devon.
