Having short stay , campsite sorted, when drop grandson off for PGL adventure holiday. Any advice on good places to park motor home, length 6m, in Weymouth or by the beach along the coast, just for part day not overnight.

There’s ample parking up on Portland Bill with spectacular views if you don’t need to be in Weymouth itself.

I don’t think it’s even very car friendly!

Agree with Husky about P&R and Tinwheeler 're Weymouth unfriendilness to motor vehicles. Don't know where you're staying but both club's have sites at Crossways (Moreton) train track inbetween, station a very short walk to station this into Weymouth. We never found train noise a problem. If you're on the coast there's a Jurassic bus along the coast. Happy holiday 😁

I remember a few car parks in Weymouth

Swannery Car Park has 894 spaces

    Lodmoor has 550 spaces

neither have height restrictions and are walking distance to town centre.

A few years ago we stayed at a lovely CS near the PGL holiday park nice walk into Weymouth and then caught the bus back

Enjoy it is a lovely part of the country

If you are an NT member look up some of their coastal car parks between Abbotsbury and Bridport. Also a coastal car park at Lulworth. Don't know how far you'd like to drive but Weymouth will be very busy unless you get there early to park.

As TW has said Portland Bill is easy and there are facilities there including a good café.

Portland Bill is free parking at the viewing point but P&D at the lighthouse car park where the cafe is.

Weymouth also has a park & ride out by Sainsbury’s.

We had the same problem in May, we dropped our daughter off at PGL and OH said about the park and ride but we managed to find a non EHU a short distance away, there are a few in the area there is also a cl next door to PGL
