Hello out there, we are retired and are thinking about starting touring. Any help would be welcome.

My worries are actually towing the caravan around especially around our narrow country lanes and B roads. Also would we have to park miles from the little towns and villages which we would be going to see. Ian

Welcome Ian.

I'm moving this into UK Sites and Touring Section because I think you'll get more responses there.

Firstly, welcome to CT and to our hobby.

If you're completely new to towing, might I recommend you book on one of the club's maneourvring courses which will give you lots of helpful advice as well as giving you more confidence.

Some of our country lanes can be a bit hairy but just take things carefully and at your own pace.

Many sites are located within easy reach of towns, cities, and attractions so you should have no worries on that score; similarly, if you want peace and quiet, there's many CLs offering that type of location.

    Welcome, Ian.

    I can’t add to Jill's advice.
