Good post Le Touriste. As you indicated, It's always possible to resolve issues in a Non-confrontational way.   In nearly 40 years of Caravanning I have never had to raise my voice to anyone on site. A quiet word is all it takes to resolve any issues.
The one thing I would never do is to snitch about another customer to the On-Site staff. That's a absolute NO NO as far as I'm concerned
I also believe that there are no bad dogs or bad children. Just a few bad parents and owners who can spoil the camping experience for other customers.  But if the site staff are on the ball, as most are, that site is a pleasant place to spend our leisure time.

    K !  Something you & I agree on.......smile

(It would have to be a last resort before I did so, once in 30 years I have after witnessing what amounted to domestic abuse taking place).

Rules are so much easier to follow and 'manage' in my opinion when we all take responsibility and set that crucial example. I've witnessed occasions when inappropriate actions have taken place and many transgressors wait for the oportunity to do 'their' own thing. Must be difficult and frustrating if issues are not witnessed or reported to those best situated to address them. We must all take at least a little  responsibility if only to emphasise our best examples of maintaining standards and rules.

Thank you for reporting this Ro.  I think it is important that members are clear about the way sites function.  I have seen examples this holiday of folk who just don't seem to be aware of some of the parameters.

Another document that might be useful to make easier to find is the information about Cancellations and Amendments.....

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/useful-information/how-to-book-a-site/cancellations-and-amendments/

......according to the link, is is a sub of 'How To Book A Site', but there doesn't seem a route to get to it..... unless I have missed something!

    Best wishes

If  you click on the links on the right of your link DSB, under Useful Information ….."How to book a site" you'll find this plus other details on the second link.

Not easy to navigate through all the subtitles!
