Kampa Ace Air 400
Hi,
The average price of this unit seems to be around £999 for a 2018 model.
I've seen a few 2017 ones kicking around for around £270 less.
Anyone know if there are significant upgrades to warrant the extra?
Thanks

Can’t comment specifically on the Ace, but we have a 2016 Rally Pro small porch size and a 2017 Rally Pro full size. Apart from obvious size difference, very little is different in structure or function. The latter has ‘proper’ curtains, and an extra flap under the door, whilst the former has roll-down flaps. Also, the latter has a ready made hole to hook onto when pulling it through the awning rail.
cant think of anything else different, and the above has zero impact on us.
Cannot say Ace differences will be similar, but the above may give some indication.

Main difference appears to be in the pitch of the roof, 2018 models have more headroom due to the shape of the roof

Miggs, we have just replaced our 2015 Air Pro 380 with a 2018 390 Grande and there are a number of improvements. I don't know how relevant they are to the models that you are looking at, but here's the main differences:
Roof is a different shape - not one incline but two - to aid drainage and prevent water pooling (although we never had that problem on our old one), plus, as Miller says, headroom is improved.
Side panels are completely removable, making it slightly lighter to put on the awning rail.
Additional fly screen panels in the sides. Front panels zip right back and flyscreens can be inserted.
Roof windows (think they were there on the 2017 models)
Velcro strips on roof poles for Lightstream lighting.
Because the Grande has only just been introduced, and we wanted that extra space, we paid the £950 or whatever it was, but I wouldn't say that the improvements, other than the roof shape, were sufficient to justify the price difference you are quoting.
